All About GOD - Growing Relationships with Jesus and Others

Lord, where were you when I needed you?

I know it's wrong to question Him and i believe that everything happens for a reason. It's just that these past 7 months, i've been struggling so hard in finding a job. I did everything and even prayed so hard to the point that i always end up crying 'coz i really really need a job so badly. Everyday, i always do my best to pleased Him. One time, i stumbled upon a movie entitled "Facing the Giants". I felt like an idiot crying during the entire movie. Every scene on that movie really touched me and i can relate to it badly. One particular scene that i love the most was when the  old man told the protagonist about the story of the two farmers. The story was about the two farmers praying to God for rain to come. Both prayed but only one prepared the land. In the end, the old man asked, "Who do you think trusted God more to send the rain?". I just remembered those lines everytime i question whether or not to trust God to give me something. But now, i don't know anymore. I've been praying and waiting for so long but still no answers from Him. I'm slowly losing my patience. I know it's wrong and i always ask for forgiveness. I just don't see him a work here. What else will i do??? Are my efforts still not enough?

Marie,

When you needed God, He was exactly where He was when His Son gave His life for us. Believe in Him. He isn't isn't ignoring you. Are you ignoring Him? Use the mustard seed of faith that He has provided you with. God is true. Believe He wants the best for you. Count your blessings. When we actually consider all God has provided us with, we see all the blessings. If a person concentrates on what they don't have, they never see all the ways God is faithful to us and His Word.

Blessings to you as you count the blessings God has given you.....

We all or most have been where you are, or said the words you are saying.  God knows our hearts.  He knows what you need.  One thing I would say, it is not about your efforts bring forth what you are Praying for.  It will always be on Faith.  God does not set the bar so high that, only a few can reach it.  My Prayer will be that His Will be done in your life, many will read this and be praying for you.  I only ask, don't give up.  Please allow Jesus to show you all He has for you.

Marie,

Questioning God is not a bad thing as long as we do not do it with the wrong attitude or motives. He tells us in: Isaiah 1:18 to - Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD.

David was forever asking God questions in his Psalms. We should actually ask Him to reveal to us what He is doing in us through such times. What is it that we are not getting, that He might want for us to let go or embrace.

I have not been able to get an accounting job for 2 years, so I can relate to your predicament.  I know God is in total control of my life. Like you, I do my homework and apply for jobs, matter of fact ha-ha I have yet another interview today. in the mean time I am doing side jobs and working in a warehouse. Yet, I know my God is in complete control of my life as He is of yours.  I know He is teaching me lessons through it all, my faith for one, is being exercised.

I have not gone without food or shelter yet, I don't have for extra stuff, but I have the essentials and that is ok. He wants us to believe in Him, even when we don't see him at work in our lives. Especially in such times (for however long that time is), this is when it really counts and our faith is built up. When we depend in his word that tells us that He knows what we need, before we even ask.

Be of good courage little sis. He has not left you nor forsaken you. He Loves You, very much. Keep believing and ask him, what it is that you should be learning through this. Rejoice through it all for the Joy of the Lord is our strength.  Worship him for He has already done so much for you and if he doesn't do another thing in your life, which He will, you have the righteousness of God in you already and you have an inheritance.

I pray that he would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might by His Spirit.

Delight in Him and all else will fall into place. Let your faith grow through this time and seek to be busy in our Lords business.

Blessings - That is a great movie by the way.

Footsteps In The Sand

One night a man had a dream.
He dreamed he was walking along the beach with the LORD.
Across the sky flashed scenes from his life.
For each scene, he noticed two sets of footprints in the sand:
one belonging to him, and the other to the LORD.

When the last scene of his life flashed before him
he looked back, at the footprints in the sand.
He noticed that many times along the path of his life
there was only one set of footprints.
He also noticed that it happened at the very lowest and saddest times of his life.

This really bothered him and he questioned the LORD about it:
"LORD, you said that once I decided to follow you,
you'd walk with me all the way.
But I have noticed that during the most troublesome times in my life
there is only one set of footprints.
I don't understand why when I needed you most you would leave me."

The LORD replied:
"My son, My precious child, I love you and I would never leave you,
During your times of trial and suffering,
when you see only one set of footprints, it was then that I carried you."
