All About GOD - Growing Relationships with Jesus and Others

Throughout our lives in this world we meet so many . Some friends are around for a long time , some for only a short time.
There are fair weather friends and then there are friends who are foul weather friends.
There are friends that come into our lives just as others go their own separate ways that we just plain lose touch with.
I believe that every single person and friend that comes into our lives touches us in some way and even the smallest touch leaves an imprint or an impression in our hearts.
There are times when our friends may hurt us or disappoint us. We will laugh with them and we will cry with them , but even if one of those friends part ways with us , there was a precious reason they were in your life to begin with and that imprint is a part of themselves that stays with us.
However, there is one friend who will never leave us. His Name is JESUS! He is LORD OF LORDS!! He is KING OF KINGS! There is no friend who will love us more than the one who was nailed to a cross and bore so much pain to save us.
It is said that the ones who love us most are the ones we hurt the most and if we are not careful , they are also the ones we take for granted the most.
Jesus has shed tears for us! He gave His very life for us.

Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends (John 15:13).
Jesus did that very thing for us! But oh, how He even overcame death and lives so that we may also live!! PRAISE GOD!

Some of us , or maybe MOST of us, in our humaness, are sometimes "foul weather" friends with Jesus. We forget Him when life is all "rosy", neglecting to even recognize who blessed us with the "rosyness" in the first place.
Then when trouble comes along , we run to Him and of course, He is still there for us.
Some of us can even have the opposite problem in our relationship with Him.
We can praise, worship and give thanksgiving to Him but when trouble comes along we have a hard time praying for help and have a hard time laying our burdens at His feet.
Well, let me tell you, there's no point in doing that because He already knows about your cares and your burdens. You cannot hide anything from Him and He just wants you to trust Him enough to cast your cares and worries with Him. He won't disappoint you!
God's Word says "I am the vine, you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in Him, He will bear much fruit. Apart from me, he cannot do anything.(John 15:5).
If a branch falls away from the vine it will dry up and die. It's deprived of food and water. There is no nourishment coming from anywhere.

So! Which kind of friend are we to Him?

Are we "foul weather", "fair weather," or are we a "CONSTANT CLINGER??
I don't know, but I sure like to be fed and watered!
Showered in HIs perfect love, and I sure don't want to dry up and die!
Besides, I want to cling to the one I adore and our Lord is one friend who will never, ever mind us clinging to Him.

CLING TO THE VINE THAT NOURISHES!
CLING TO THAT VINE , IN LOVE!
THE VINE THAT GIVES ETERNAL LIFE
AND LEADS TO HEAVEN ABOVE!

GOD BLESS US ALL AS WE REMAIN IN HIM!

Thank you for sharing this with me dear. Jesus is indeed a Friend of mine. But for me Jesus is much more than that: Jesus is my very Bestfriend and my Everything. Praise the Lord Jesus Christ. JBU
