Jesus Discovery - An Invite!!

After talking with a few people on AGG, there seems to be a need to run a study for new Christians, and for those who are isolated. So with the help of a good friend, we'd like to set one up.

This is how we envisage it:

We don't want it to be all head knowledge;
Nor just one or two people teaching the rest.
We'd like it to be like a discovery expedition, where we are all learning and discovering together.
We want the Holy Spirit to be our teacher. He is the one who guides us into all truth.
We'd try stomp out jargons or clichés, and learn to say what we really mean.
And we'd like to make it practical so that we can apply it to our day-to-day lives.
And what will we study? Probably John's Gospel, unless the Lord directs otherwise.

(We won't start the study until we know we've got all the starters. And we don't need a big number.)

I appreciate your support, and look forward to having you on board.

But one thing I would ask of those of us who do know the answers, and that is that we hold back a bit. Don't be too quick to jump in, but allow others to discover the answer themselves. I know for me that is a hard ask. But we'll need to practice some holy restraint.

And I know from explerience, the truths we discover for ourselves have a greater impact than truths that someone else might teach us.
