All About GOD - Growing Relationships with Jesus and Others

These are a few verses The spirit has been Leading me to study. They have been helping me to see and understand what The Father is asking us to do. For these verses what I am seeing is just to believe. We can get so stressed and feel we are failing. "I just do not have enough Faith or Hope." In these verses and so many more, they make clear The Source of Hope and Faith. They have and are helping me so I thought I would share them with you. I am sure you have already read and know them, I just wanted to share what is helping me at this time.
In His Love
Chris

5 Make sure that your character is free from the love of money, being content with what you have; for He Himself has said,“I WILL NEVER DESERT YOU, NOR WILL I EVER FORSAKE YOU,”

6 so that we confidently say,  “THE LORD IS MY HELPER, I WILL NOT BE AFRAID  WHAT WILL MAN DO TO ME?”  7 Remember those who led you, who spoke the word of God to you; and considering the result of their conduct, imitate their faith. 8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever. Heb 13:5-8

We consider what Jesus has done for us, paying the price for our sins and all He did while He walked as a man on earth.  To be such a pure and unquestionable expression of His Love for us.  Yet,  when life appears impossible, our actions can be compared to those who woke Jesus as He slept in the boat.  When the waves grew from the wind that blew.  At times we think, how could they have been so fearful with Jesus right there with them?  We forget at times as we begin to get wet, HE IS THERE WITH US!  Let us Pray for Wisdom, so often those times; those events are the very things we need for our faith to grow.  When the wind blows and waves rock our boats, JESUS IS RIGHT THERE WITH US!  GOD WILL NEVER LEAVE OR FORSAKE US!  HIS LOVE IS THE CONSTANT THAT WE CAN ALWAYS TRUST!

In those times of testing or trials, we must hold on to the Fact that The Love of Jesus Never changes for us.  God Never leaves us.  He is there with us.  If you are like me, and find yourself in difficult times, hold on to these Truths.

5 My soul, wait in silence for God only, For my Hope is from Him. 6 He only is my Rock and my Salvation,  My Stronghold; I shall not be shaken. 7 On God my Salvation and my Glory rest;  The Rock of my Strength, my Refuge is in God. 8 Trust in Him at all times, O people; Pour out your heart before Him; God is a refuge for us. Ps 62:5-8

7 Therefore, accept each other just as Christ has accepted you so that God will be given Glory. 8 Remember that Christ came as a Servant to the Jews to show that God is True to the Promises He made to their ancestors. 9 He also came so that the Gentiles might give glory to God for His Mercies to them. That is what the psalmist meant when he wrote: “For this, I will praise You among the Gentiles; I will sing praises to Your Name.”  10 And in another place it is written, “Rejoice with His people, you Gentiles.” 11 And yet again, “Praise the LORD, all you Gentiles. Praise Him, all you people of the earth.” 12 And in another place Isaiah said,“The Heir to David’s Throne will come, and He will rule over the Gentiles. They will place their hope on Him. 13 I pray that God, the Source of Hope, will fill you completely with Joy and Peace because you trust in Him. Then you will overflow with confident Hope through the Power of the Holy Spirit. Rom 15:7-13

17 In the same way God, desiring even more to show to the heirs of the Promise the unchangeableness of His purpose, interposed with an oath, 18 so that by two unchangeable things in which it is impossible for God to lie, we who have taken refuge would have strong encouragement to take hold of the Hope set before us. 19 This Hope we have as an anchor of the soul, a Hope both sure and steadfast and One which enters within the veil, 20 where Jesus has entered as a Forerunner for us, having become a High Priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek Heb 6:17-19

How often do we get “worked up” when we feel our hope is not as strong as it should be?  Yet, in Rom 15:13 our part is to trust in Him.  God is The Source of Hope.  In Psalm 62:5 Hope is from God.

22 But the Scriptures declare that we are all prisoners of sin, so we receive God’s promise of freedom only by believing in Jesus Christ. 23 Before the way of faith in Christ was available to us, we were placed under guard by the law. We were kept in protective custody, so to speak, until the way of faith was revealed.  24 Let me put it another way. The law was our guardian until Christ came; it protected us until we could be made right with God through faith. Gal 3:22-24

So faith comes from hearing, that is, hearing the Good News about Christ. Rom 10:17

2 Let me ask you this one question: Did you receive the Holy Spirit by obeying the law of Moses? Of course not! You received the Spirit because you believed the message you heard about Christ. 3 How foolish can you be? After starting your Christian lives in the Spirit, why are you now trying to become perfect by your own human effort? 4 Have you experienced so much for nothing? Surely it was not in vain, was it  5 I ask you again, does God give you the Holy Spirit and work miracles among you because you obey the law? Of course not! It is because you believe the message you heard about Christ.  6 In the same way, “Abraham believed God, and God counted him as righteous because of his faith.” 7 The real children of Abraham, then, are those who put their faith in God. Gal 3:2-7

15 Let the Peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were Called in One Body; and be Thankful. 16 Let the Word of Christ richly dwell within you, with all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another with psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with thankfulness in your hearts to God. 17 Whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through Him to God the Father. Col 3:15-17

12 so that you would walk in a manner worthy of the God Who Calls you into His Own Kingdom and Glory.  13 For this reason we also constantly Thank God that when you received the Word of God which you heard from us, you accepted it not as the word of men, but for what it really is, The Word of God, which also performs its Work in you who believe. 1 Thes 2:12-13

1 Therefore, let us fear if, while a Promise remains of Entering His Rest, any one of you may seem to have come short of it. 2 For indeed we have had Good News preached to us, just as they also; but the Word they heard did not profit them, because it was not united by Faith in those who heard.  3 For we who have believed Enter That Rest, just as He has said, “AS I SWORE IN MY WRATH, THEY SHALL NOT ENTER MY REST, although His Works were finished from the foundation of the world. 4 For He has said somewhere concerning the seventh day: “AND GOD RESTED ON THE SEVENTH DAY FROM ALL HIS WORKS”; 5 and again in this passage, “THEY SHALL NOT ENTER MY REST.” 6 Therefore, since it remains for some to Enter It, and those who formerly had Good News preached to them failed to enter because of disobedience, 7 He again fixes a certain day, “Today,” saying through David after so long a time just as has been said before, “TODAY IF YOU HEAR HIS VOICE,  DO NOT HARDEN YOUR HEARTS.” Heb 4:1-7

16 “Behold, I send you out as sheep in the midst of wolves; so be shrewd as serpents and innocent as doves. 17 “But beware of men, for they will hand you over to the courts and scourge you in their synagogues; 18 and you will even be brought before governors and kings for My sake, as a testimony to them and to the Gentiles. 19 “But when they hand you over, do not worry about how or what you are to say; for it will be Given you in that hour what you are to say. 20 “For it is not you who Speak, but it is the Spirit of your Father Who Speaks in you.  Matt 10:16-20

12 For the Word of God is Living and Active and Sharper than any two-edged sword, and Piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to Judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart. 13 And there is no creature hidden from His Sight, but all things are open and laid bare to The Eyes of Him with Whom we have to do. Heb 4:12-13

21 Through Christ you have come to trust in God. And you have placed your faith and hope in God because He Raised Christ from the dead and Gave Him Great Glory.  22 You were Cleansed from your sins when you obeyed The Truth, so now you must show sincere love to each other as brothers and sisters.  Love each other deeply with all your heart. 23 For you have been Born Again, but not to a life that will quickly end. Your New Life will last forever because It Comes from The Eternal, Living Word of God. 1 Pet 1:21-23

1 So get rid of all evil behavior. Be done with all deceit, hypocrisy, jealousy, and all unkind speech. 2 Like newborn babies, you must crave pure spiritual milk so that you will grow into a full experience of salvation. Cry out for this nourishment, 3now that you have had a taste of the Lord’s kindness. 1 Pet 2:1-2

4 You are coming to Christ, Who is The Living Cornerstone of God’s Temple. He was rejected by people, but He was Chosen by God for Great Honor. 5 And you are Living Stones that God is Building into His Spiritual Temple. What’s more, you are His Holy Priests.  Through the Mediation of Jesus Christ, you offer Spiritual Sacrifices that please God. 6 As the Scriptures say, “I am Placing A Cornerstone in Jerusalem, chosen for Great Honor, and anyone who trusts in Him will never be disgraced. 7 Yes, you who trust Him recognize The Honor God has Given Him. But for those who reject Him, “The Stone that the builders rejected has now become The Cornerstone.” 8 And, “He is The Stone that makes people stumble, The Rock that makes them fall.” They stumble because they do not obey God’s Word, and so they meet the fate that was planned for them. 9 But you are not like that, for you are a Chosen People. You are Royal Priests, a Holy Nation, God’s very Own Possession. As a result, you can show others the Goodness of God, for He Called you out of the darkness into His Wonderful Light. 10 “Once you had no identity as a people; now you are God’s People.  Once you received no mercy; now you have received God’s Mercy.” 1 Pet 2:4-10

21 For God Called you to do good, even if it means suffering, just as Christ Suffered for you. He is your Example, and you must follow in His Steps. 22 He never sinned, nor ever deceived anyone.  23 He did not retaliate when He was insulted, nor threaten revenge when He Suffered. He left His Case in The Hands of God, Who always Judges airly. 24 He Personally Carried our sins in His Body on the Cross so that we can be dead to sin and Live for what is right. By His Wounds you Are Healed. 25 Once you were like sheep who wandered away. But now you have turned to your Shepherd, the Guardian of your souls.    1 Pet 2:21-25

1 See how Great A Love The Father has Bestowed on us, that we would be Called Children of God; and such we are. For this reason the world does not know us, because it did not know Him. 2 Beloved, now we are Children of God, and it has not appeared as yet what we will be. We know that when He appears, we will be like Him, because we will see Him just as He Is. 3 And everyone who has This Hope Fixed on Him purifies himself, just as He Is Pure 1 John 3:1-3

1 Whoever believes that Jesus Is The Christ is Born of God, and whoever Loves The Father loves the Child Born of Him. 2 By this we know that we Love the Children of God, when we Love God and observe His Commandments. 3 For this is The Love of God, that we keep His Commandments; and His Commandments are not burdensome. 4 For Whatever is Born of God Overcomes the world; and this is the Victory that has overcome the world—our faith. 5 Who is the one who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is The Son of God? 6 This is the One who Came by Water and Blood, Jesus Christ; not with the Water only, but with the Water and with The Blood. It is the Spirit who Testifies, because the Spirit Is The Truth. 7 For there are Three that Testify: 8 The Spirit and the Water and the Blood; and The Three are in Agreement. 1 John 5:1-8
