All About GOD - Growing Relationships with Jesus and Others

Actually this Blog is coming from an article I read in a Seminary class called "free will" and from the beautiful blog Bob wrote of the "deception of the enemy". Especially about not being able to blame satan for our sin. Thanks Bob.

This may be more of a reflection, but here goes...please bear with me as I set the stage.

Genesis 2: 8 Now the LORD God had planted a garden in the east, in Eden; and there he put the man he had formed. 9 The LORD God made all kinds of trees grow out of the ground—trees that were pleasing to the eye and good for food. In the middle of the garden were the tree of life and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.
(God planned)

Genesis 2:15 The LORD God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it. 16 And the LORD God commanded the man, "You are free to eat from any tree in the garden; 17 but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat of it you will certainly die."

"But" is the exception or specifics to the command. The word "if" would be a warning of consequences.
"for when you"God's foreknowledge of Adam's sin.

Jesus Is Tested in the Wilderness
Matthew 4:1 Then Jesus was led by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil.

Matthew 6:13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.
No doubt God can lead us to be tempted. (Also, God always gives a way out.)
The 1st Adam, born of flesh and the 2nd Adam born of Spirit.

Now I spent some time with the Lord on this, looked at myself, then Adam. Why would I desire to sin?
UNBELIEF!
I did not believe who God said He was. I did not believe He would do what He said. My whole desire was not for Him.
The serpent was allowed, just like Job. Adam had not sinned yet.
Now God has been with me my whole life, just like Adam.

Correct me if I am wrong. God made us, His creation to bring Him Glory!
Did God not show us from the time of Adam's sin, God may have lead him to temptation, just so Jesus could save him and us. And Jesus is the ultimate Glory of God!

I do know that "I" have no free will. God predestined me to be saved and God chose me to be His child. I am a servant of the Most High God and He will use me for His Glory.

I know I am anointed by the Holy Spirit who teaches me all things and makes Godly judgements in my life to will and to act according to God's purpose.

I know God lead and brought circumstances that made me bow to my knees in repentence for my sins, that only I am to blame and cry for mercy from my God to forgive me for hurting Him.(Every Knee shall bow and confess, Jesus is Lord.) Glory to God!

I know my God gave me Jesus when I cried for mercy to save me from myself. Grace came running after me.

I know everyday God's Grace abounds in me and Jesus keeps saving me completely.

I know if I ran from God. Jesus would chase me, just like Jonah.

I know I have no power of my own, I am only dust, not even my breath is my own.

I know the only power in me and the air I breathe is from the Holy Spirit.

I know there is nothing good in me, only Jesus.

I know I love Jesus with all my heart, soul, mind and strength because God put His love in my heart.

All the trials, all the tribulations......I know how much I am loved by God.

The first man Adam, the sin....Love was planned.
The second Adam, Jesus.......Love is complete!

I think this is more of a reflection of what I read in the seminary lesson. The commentary changed Gen. 2:17 to an "if" instead of the true scripture "but", which changed the whole meaning of God's word in this verse. All through scripture God does warn us with the word "if" because of the consequences of sin.

Thank you Father,
God, bless the Reader.
Mercy
