Experiencing Victory Weekend

Last weekend, May 22nd and 23rd, Life in His Word Church Philippines held a Victory Weekend seminar. It was conducted by our Head Pastor, Rev. Ernie de Vega from Life Church Virginia, USA and the members of Mission Team 2009 composed of members from Life Churches from Quezon City, Caloocan and also from Life Church Virginia.

We all went back to the cross of Jesus Christ and remembered the pain and sufferings that Jesus had to endure just so we could be forgiven and be given new identities. Many among us that first night received the Lord Jesus Christ as their personal Savior and Lord. For the rest, it was a wonderful time of rededicating and recommitting our lives to the Lord.

I totally felt like a new person, sinless and blameless before God. It's not because of what I have done but it was the blood of the Lamb that cleansed me and washed away my sin.

The night was capped with praise and worship where everyone being filled with the Holy Spirit sang and danced to the glory of God. As we worshiped, we were ecstatic; unmindful of others, our only focus was on God. I, myself, felt like I was bowing before the throne of the grace of God. I didn't see the faces but I felt the radiance of God the Father, the Lord Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit as they are surrounded by the hosts of angels. It felt like the Second Coming or the Rapture. It was as if I was flying to meet the Lord in the air!

The victory weekend was truly a time of VICTORY! And all the saints say, "Amen and amen!"
