Does what Jesus say offend you?

I was reading the word of God yesterday in John 6:61- When Jesus knew in Himself that His disciples complained about this, He said to them, " Does this offend you? I start thinking to myself some things that I read in the word of God  that does offend me. His word hits straight to my heart that I do get offended about what he says like loving your enemies, and doing good to them and etc and your might be different . As the word of God says in Matthew 5:44- But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you. Yes sometimes loving people who do us wrong does not come so easily. And I can tell you why from my experience. You see we are still carnal.The carnal man does not want to listen to God nor obey him.As the word of God says in Romans 8:6-Because the carnal mind is enmity against God; for it is not subject to the law of God. And we also are the ones that are easily to get offended by those who do us wrong. God word is the truth, as the word of God says in Proverbs 30:5- Every word of God is pure; He is a shield to those who put their trust in Him. If God word was not so powerful and living then there would not be any persecutions . As the word of God says in Galatians 5:11- And I, brethren, if I still preach circumcision, why do I still suffer persecution? Then the offense of the cross has ceased. But the disciples just could not comprehend about receiving the Lord's sacrifice . As the word of God says in John 6:60- Therefore many of His disciples, when they heard this said, " This is a hard saying; who can understand it. A lot of our problems is because we try to use our wisdom to understand the heavenly view. As the word of God says in John 3:12- If I have told you earthly things and you do not believe, how will you believe if I tell you heavenly things. Are minds cannot grasp the infinite wisdom of the Lord even David said that in the word of God says 139::6- Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; It is high, I cannot attain. Our understanding cannot handle God wisdom. God talk to Job out of the whirlwind and Job could not even say anything. As the word of God says in Job 40:4- " Behold, I am vile; What shall I answer You. I lay my hand over my mouth. When we begin to see things from his perspective then can we grasp what it means to be born again. As the word of God says in John 3:3- Jesus answered and said to him, " Most assuredly, I say to you unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. I mean why in the world would we turn away from the One who made us,And he who speaks the word of life. as the word of God says in John 6:63- It is the Spirit who gives life, the flesh profits nothing, The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they life. When we are offended people we cannot handle the truth, but whether we disdain it. As the word of God says in Proverbs 1:30- They would have none of my counsel And despised my every rebuke. So let go of your offenses and Let God word bring you to life.We should be like Peter and say this in John 6:68- But Simon Peter answered Him, " Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life. God bless you my friends....

If you want to have a relationship with Jesus. Lord Jesus I am sinner in need of your redeeming love. Yes Lord I am offended about the message of the cross. But I lay down those offense so I can come to life. You have the words of eternal life. Lord Jesus please blot out all my trangressions. And raise me up to the new creation you called me to be. Lord Jesus fill me with the Holy Spirit. In Jesus Name . Amen.

Praise God you are a new creation. Get a New King James Version bible, Go to a God fearing church.read your word daily and apply it daily. Pray daily and fellowship with people of the same faith and witness to the Lost. God bless you on journey.
