All About GOD - Growing Relationships with Jesus and Others

The saddest thing in a Christians walk is never getting past the ritual in order to get fully to the relationship... God never changes, He remains the same throughout the ages. Which leads to just one often missed thought... Jesus' sacrifice wasn't the pinnacle of Gods love for us, it's just His love for us... There was no sudden increase to an overflowing abundance of love toward us. It has always just been an overflowing abundance of Love towards us then and now, age after age, eon after eon, time after time, day after day...

Lol you would think that, but honesty it's not so easy. Especially as you recognize that you are indwelled by the Holy Spirit. It falls under the gift of discernment. I hate making blanket statements, simply because God will allow whatever is necessary to help refine us as well as comfort us. Where we are at in our walk as well as what we are experiencing through the trials of life will even often determine how what we read through the scripture will effect us.

Lol I don't think you'll have to worry about ritualistic service firewalker... Lol... Seriously though the mundane actions and services we present can easily become routine. Till out of repetition we can find ourselves mindlessly doing them with no thought as to the reason why we are doing what we do. Why do we worship? Why do we praise? Is it a reflex action just ingrained within us from week after week of repetition? It's always important to remember one thing... More often than not its not the what, but the whys, that define what God deems as righteous and holy.
