A simple man, with simple pleasures.(A Short Message.)

Wherefore I perceive that there is nothing better, than that a man should rejoice in his own works; for that is his portion: for who shall bring him to see what shall be after him? What can I say about my dad? He was strong, afraid of nothing, and a man of deep love for Christ, his wife, and His Children. My dad lived a hard life, working always, and resting little. He married our mother in hard times, lost one son in death, and sent off three sons to the military. He always told me that, “A father should never have to bury his children, he was greatly affected by the loss of Ronnie.

The loss of my dad. was, and still is, hard to bear, my heart is broken, and is miss him greatly. He was a caring dad, wanting better for his children than what he had, but all in all my dad out preformed all of us. A simple man, with simple pleasures. A country man, from a hard working family. He told me many times before he became ill; “Son, give me roses while I live, so I can enjoy them, for when I die, I cannot see them, nor smell the wonderful fragrance. These are small words, but it is the best I can do. May Christ give Him peace. I miss you daddy.

Ashes to ashes, dust to dust, we are always one breath, one heart beat away from eternal life, in Heaven, or Hell. “Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.” (Ecc 12:7) We all belong and are part of the earth, for we were all created from the dust of the earth(Elements) and we shall return this body of dust back from where it came from. Our spirits were given to each and every individual from God, whom created each, for his own purpose. I said in mine heart concerning the estate of the sons of men, that God might manifest them, and that they might see that they themselves are beasts.

For that which befalleth the sons of men befalleth beasts; even one thing befalleth them: as the one dieth, so dieth the other; yea, they have all one breath; so that a man hath no preeminence above a beast: for all is vanity. (Ecc 3:18-19) We all are as God has manifested us to be. Some will live a long life, some with happiness, and some with great sorrow. The death of one is great, for the family but over all the death of one doesn't affect the world, for they know not the individual, but the whole. We see many times that, when a man dies, sorrow and grieve comes upon all that have know them. We as Christians, are to rejoice at a death and weep for a birth, for we know not what will befall the new life, but we are assured of a Christian death.

We still grieve, but we rejoice at the death, for the Lord has promised us all, who believe on Him, that we will all be in joy everlasting. All go unto one place; all are of the dust, and all turn to dust again. Who knoweth the spirit of man that goeth upward, and the spirit of the beast that goeth downward to the earth? Wherefore I perceive that there is nothing better, than that a man should rejoice in his own works; for that is his portion: for who shall bring him to see what shall be after him? (Ecc 3:20-22)
