All About GOD

All About GOD - Growing Relationships with Jesus and Others

"I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live…" (Galatians 2:20).

"If any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed
away;
behold, all things are become new" (2 Corinthians 5:17).

You may say, "I know I'm in Christ by faith. I realize I'm a new
creature, but
I still struggle terribly with a habit. It makes me so discouraged."
Satan
would love to convince you that God has given up on you. He wants you to
think
God sees you as dirty, filthy with sin. But it's all a lie. What you're
experiencing is the flesh battling against the Spirit in you. This
battle is
common to all believers. And while you're in the midst of it, Satan
wants to
convince you that the "old man" is still in control.

No matter what your condition, God does not waver in his love for you.
He never
stopped loving Adam's race, in spite of all its wickedness, idolatry and
lustful
ways. He preserved them throughout history to the last days, when he
stepped in
with his rescue plan. Through the cross, it was possible that all of
Adam's
race could be reconciled.

You have to know that your standing with God is based on one thing: you
are
victorious because of the cross. This victory doesn't come through any
good
thing you do. As Paul says, "They that are in the flesh cannot please
God"
(Romans 8:8). Our victory comes solely through repentance, faith,
belief, trust
in God's care for us. And our part is to stand firmly on the position he
has
graciously given us in Christ. His Word assures us, "You may fail at
times. But
when I look at you, I see only my Son, Jesus. You're going to come
through this
battle victorious, with no guilt or condemnation."

Sorry about the confusion, When I said that We face life as it is, but we don’t accept it as it is, and I thought the analogy I used of the friends of the paralytic when they faced the situation of not being able to get in to see Jesus because of the crowd was sufficient. You see, they faced the problem, but they did not accept it as an impossibility, They found a way to get their friend in to see Jesus. It took a lot of faith to do what they did. They knew that Jesus was the healer and He would heal their friend if they could just get him in there where He was. And this is and can be true with what ever situation we are facing in this life. See when you become the righteousness of God, that really makes you a master of circumstances. It just takes a renewing of the mind, to renew our mind to the Word of God and not being conformed “or molded” to this worlds system.
This is where I said that a mature Christian will respond differently to a situation than a novice or an immature Christian.

“Though I read this in a book, I do believe it”
“Quote”
When we know our place as a child, know our rights, know our Righteousness, our ability to stand in the Father’s presence without the sense of guilt or inferiority, when we know that we have as good a standing before the Father as Jesus had in His earth walk, then the problem of faith is settled.

1 Corinthians 1:29-31, I think this scripture should be a very prominent one in our daily walk.
29 That no flesh should glory in his presence.
30 But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:
31 That, according as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord.
We are in Him, and He is in us, we are not alone as one that belongs to a certain group.
So we can be transformed by the renewing of our minds, Rom.12:2

You see,
#1. an un-renewed mind is always battling against doubts, fears and unbelief. Because he has never renewed his mind to the Word, rather he goes more by his senses, what he sees, feels, tastes, smells and hears. If he can’t sense with his senses, he just doesn’t have it. When the Word say just the opposite. 2Cor.4:18. Also 2Pet.1:2-3

#2. An un-renewed mind also, is always praying for faith, but never arriving. Because he is asking God to give him faith, and he cant believe that faith comes by hearing the Word of God. Rom.10:17 And faith is also a fruit of the Spirit, so when you received Christ, you received a measure of faith and all the other fruit of the Spirit that is in Him. So just with a grain of mustard seed faith you will say; be removed and it will move for you. You wont be saying who shall ascend into heaven, that is to bring Christ down from above, or who shall descend into the deep, that is to bring up Christ again from the dead. Or say OH Lord come down and be in our mist, that would be a prayer of unbelief, because He said He would never leave us nor forsake us, so He is always with us and in us. Heb.13:5, And Mat.28:20.
This is when you are realizing that you are a new creature. You don’t respond the way you used to, to situations, your prayer life will definitely change, especially when you learn who you are in Christ. You will say to this mountain, and not be asking God to move it for you.

#3. An un-renewed mind is always talking unbelief, yet struggling to get faith. (Well we just don’t know if it is God’s will to heal or not, but we will pray anyway.)
How can you pray a prayer of faith if you don’t know what God’s will is in that situation? You can’t, faith is a conviction or a persuasion of the heart. You ;as Abraham, must be fully persuaded that what God has promised, He is able to perform or bring it to pass.

#4. An un-renewed mind is always confessing failure, and at the same time confessing faith in the Word, yet denying it in action.
Well I didn’t get healed when I prayed or I don’t have enough to meet my payments at the end of the month. But I know that God will meet my needs according to His riches in glory. See when we are quoting the Word, we are quoting what God is saying to our Spirits, not our flesh.
The Word of God is a mirror, it is reflecting what we are in Christ. Not what we are in the flesh. For instance, when we say that by His stripes we are healed. And the un-renewed mind will look at his flesh “body” and say well I guess it just doesn’t work for me, because I am still the same as I was before. The bible is telling you that in your Spirit you are completely healed, old things have passed away, behold all things have become new. We can’t seem to believe what the Word says about us, because we are looking in the flesh. James 1:22-25 22 But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.
23 For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass:
24 For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was.
25 But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.

#5. An un-renewed mind is always trying to believe, but never acting on the Word. You must believe that you already have everything that God has promised. 2Pet.1:2-3, So, when you pray , Believe that ye receive it and ye shall have it. Mat.11:24 When do you receive it? When you believe it.

So the New Creation is one that believes that He is an associate of God. One that will take the substitution of Christ as he would a train or an elevator, you never need faith to take the train or the elevator, we just use them. Like when Peter and John went through the gate beautiful, and lifted the impotent man up, they did not pray and ask God to heal that man, they just said “such as I have give I thee” What did they have that they gave him? They had the anointing and the power of God in them that will heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse the leper, and set at liberty them that are bruised. Or as it was with Paul when putting wood on the fire and the poisonous asp came out of the wood and fasten on his hand, he did not run to the Doctor or get all excited, he knew who he was in Christ and just shook it off in the fire. Everyone else was looking for him to fall over dead. This is the power of the “New Creation” one who knows that he is created in Christ Jesus. Knows that he is the temple of God. And that the Spirit of God dwells in him. That he has the very nature of God in him. We were an old sinner, but we have been saved by Grace and now we are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. That is what it means to be “Born again” Translated out of the Kingdom darkness into the Kingdom of His dear Son. Just as real as the caterpillar in his cocoon is changed into a beautiful butterfly. He has been “born again“, a new species.

I don’t claim to know all there is to know about this subject, but I do know I want to be all He wants me to be.
Blessings to all,
Joe

Do you know anything else about the "New Creation"?
It is an excellent subject, and one that should be discussed and understood by ever serious believer. Any one that wants to grow in the knowledge of the Word, or has a desire to know who he is in Christ, what your privileges are as a new creature.
You will find there are very few that will even want to discuss this very important subject. Find out who Christ is, because there are many that do not know, we know He is the Son of God, But who was the son of man? Why was it necessary for Him to come to earth in human form, die, be buried and then resurrected again? If there is enough interest, we can go a little deeper with it. But I don’t want it to become confusing to others. I am not saying that I know or understand all there is to know about it, but it has been one of the subjects that I have been studying for some time now. I just haven’t discussed it with very many because I know it can be a very controversial subject.
Be blessed
Joe
