A conversation of a mother to her son in this New Year’s Eve

Clack: Mama, why people need to have different kinds of fruits this New Year’s eve? Why we don’t have it too?  

Mama: Clark, we have different fruits already.. See our refrigerator .

Clark: eh. Mama cannot see fruits here.

Mama: Clark its there in the container… our Fruit Salad!!!

Clark: Mama, your kidding!!!

Mama: No, Clark… you want fruits.. I made it for you to eat…

Clark: ok, but then you give me coins; I will put it on my pocket, so I could have lots of money the whole year…

Mama: where did you learn that thing?

Clark: My friend told me that they used to put coins on their pocket during New Year ’s Eve.

Mama:  Well… You can have coins on your pocket, my dear.. but do not believe that  tradition…

Clark: Mama last one, why we are not buying firecrackers, fireworks. They said it would bring you luck for the coming year…

Mama: My son, Luck is not the right word, instead BLESSINGS…

Whatever happens to us they are  all Blessings coming from God, whether good or bad, it has purposes; we do not need to follow traditions, culture but what we must follow and obey God’s will for us..

All the things we have here on earth, belongs to God, and as children of God, we believe He supplies all our needs. We do not need to brag or boast what we attain in life… As the Scriptures say, "If you want to boast, boast only about the LORD."

Clark: ok,I understand now, eh Mama, what is your New Year’s resolution?

Mama: My son, We may make our plans, but God has the last word. You may think everything you do is right, but the Lord judges your motives. Ask the Lord to bless your plans, and you will be successful in carrying them out. People will write hundreds of New Year’s resolutions, but what if upon writing your new year’s resolution, you died? Does your resolution fulfilled, no!!!, right? So the best thing to do, always have an intimate relationship to God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit, do not wait for new year instead always remember do not brag about tomorrow, because you do not know what another day may bring..And be always prepare for after all this, there is only one thing to say: Have reverence for God, and obey his commands, because this is all that we were created for. God is going to judge everything we do, whether good or bad, even things done in secret.
