Regardless Of What You Are Going Through, Remember, God's Word Is Always True.

"Sanctify them by Your truth. Your Word is truth."
John 17:17 (NKJV)



If you study the origin of the English word "worry," you will find that it means: "to strangle." It means: "to harass or treat roughly with, or as with, continual biting or tearing with the teeth...to annoy, bother, or harass...to cause to feel troubled or uneasy, make anxious."



While wandering in the wilderness, the Jews worried about everything—food, enemies, and how long it would take. Worry is really nothing more than believing in your circumstances more than you do God's Word. Yes, it is true that many don't see worry as something that is amiss. But we all can agree that worry is simply surefire proof that we do not believe God's Word.



God does not lie. He cannot lie. In fact, it is impossible for God to lie. It took forty long years (and then some) for the Israelites to learn this truth. So if I am worried over a given situation, it is because I don't truly believe what God said concerning my circumstance. Even Jesus said, "Do not worry..." Many people feel Jesus was making a suggestion, but Jesus was commanding us never to worry about another thing, no, not ever again.



I discovered that God's greatest pleasure is to be believed. His greatest disappointment is to be doubted. And if He commanded us not to worry, rest assured He has given us the power to do so.
