147 ...I'm so happy tonight, Christian friend, that I'm here with you tonight. I'm so happy that I--I've had the privilege of speaking to you, with my heart.
And my whole heart is wrapped in this Message. It's been there since the very day that God give me the baptism of the Holy Ghost, right here in the island of Bohol,Philippines, when I believed on His Son, Jesus Christ, and accepted Him out here in a little old shed as my personal Saviour. And the Lord coming down upon me that night, throwed a Light across that room, and I looked at It, so scared I couldn't even move. Knelt on an old grass sack down there on Dauis,Panglao Bohol, and I seen that Light form a cross, and Something on that cross speaking at me. Since that night, my hopes has been built on nothing less than the Word of God and Jesus Christ and righteousness. That's where I believe with all my heart. Let go what come, what may; my hope still anchors right there.
And I'm glad tonight to be setting in a company like this, that believes the same thing, and has received the same Lord Jesus Christ.
Through years, through many dangers, toils and snares,
I have already come;
It's aged me. It's broke me. It's peeled me down.
But it's grace that's brought me safe thus far,
It's grace that'll take me on.
And when we've been there ten thousand years,
Bright shining as the sun;
We'll have no less days to sing God's praise
Than the hour we first begun. "And then one day the Pillar of Fire begin to move again. And Wesley could not move with That, because he was already organized to it." WHERE.I.THINK.PENTECOST.FAILED now under the first reformation was Luther. And then he organized and made the Lutheran Church. The Pillar of Fire begin to move out, but the Lutherans couldn't move because they already had their documents drawed up, "We believe this and that's it." And when God showed new revelations, the Lutherans couldn't move.
So there was a fellow by the name of John Wesley, who saw the vision, the Pillar of Fire moving. And so he saw the Message of sanctification, and called it the second work of grace. And Methodists... Luther could not go into that because they were not taught that. Then Wesley taken up and taught sanctification, and caused a great revival to sweep the land.
The Wesleyan Age saved England out of it's corruption, when the Calvinist church in England had got so corrupt, till they didn't even believe in revivals no more. "What God's going to do, He's going to do, so what difference does it make? If He's going to save them, they're born to be saved or they're born to be lost." Oh, what a condition to get into. God sent a mediocre.
And He sent John Wesley who preached sanctification. And then the trouble that Wesley made, he organized a church called the Methodist. And then they wrote up their document, "We believe in this and that's it." And then one day the Pillar of Fire begin to move again. And Wesley could not move with That, because he was already organized to it. "Walk close to God, my brethren, come in to the holiest of Holies." WHERE.I.THINK.PENTECOST.FAILED_ Walk close to God, my brethren, come in to the holiest of Holies. Come in and live before God till the Holy Spirit, which takes Him message day by day, how you're progressing in His Kingdom, how you're treating His children, and what all you're doing, till the Father say, "I have found grace in him now. I'll bring him over here before the people."
He won't have to tell the people, the people will know by what he's doing and what the life he's living that God has done it. Your testimony sometime is all right, but your life speaks aloud, you know, your testimony don't do much good. That's right. Your life is what counts. Do you believe that? "No, sir. God doesn't promise ease and prosperity. But He promises grace to endure in every trial. It's the grace that we look to.
When Lot and Abraham, another time... When Abraham was to be the ruler of the world, his seed was to scatter over the earth. He had Lot, his nephew with him, which was a relative. And what a beautiful picture today of the cold, formal, indifferent church to the Spirit born, elected, called out, separated Church of the living God. They dwelled together on the same plain. But it finally come to a time to where Lot took his great group and went down into Sodom and Gomorrah, where they'd be popular, where they would take the choice of the land. And Abraham stayed in the will of God and took the poor of the land. Sarah, his beautiful wife, and Abraham stayed on the poor of the ground in order that they could serve the Lord.
God doesn't promise a flower bed of Eden. Don't falsify a Christian, and don't falsify the message by telling that everything's going to be all right, there nothing going to harm you, there's nothing going--ain't no trials or nothing. That's wrong. As a poet said, "Must I be carried home to heaven on a flower bed of ease, while others fought to win the prize and sailed through bloody seas?" No, sir. God doesn't promise ease and prosperity. But He promises grace to endure in every trial. It's the grace that we look to. "The junction time is at hand for Father to show that we're at the end time.
Abraham chose the way of God. He stayed on the mountain top though they wasn't much grass for his cattle. But Lot: a type of the backslidden world, the church who doesn't believe in the miraculous...
Then it finally come till those things wound around into God, until there had to come a junction. There had to be a time, for Abraham was the heir of the land. Oh God, why can't Christians see? Blessed are the pure in heart; they shall see God. Blessed are the meek; they shall inherit the earth. The junction time is at hand for Father to show that we're at the end time. See?
