I sit here watching the sunrise from the dark sea below to the blue sky above.
I've been through a dark time in my life but with God's love and grace, the sun is beginning to shine again.
The weeks and months ahead may have times as dark as the sea below, but by clinging to God, the sun will rise in my life just like it rises from the dark sea below to the blue sky above.
Written 6th February 2008 after seeing the sunrise on route from Dublin to Faro (Portugal).

There's a worship song with this verse in it as well. Wasn't thinking of either the song or the verse when I wrote the poem/prayer. I'd been through a tough time and was beginning to pick up again. The sunrise was awesome. I'll add aphoto of it.
