My house was broken in...

Yesterday (Sunday) afternoon between 12:30 and 3:00 my house was broken in. Fortunately, my family and I were not home. Some computers were taken along with my wife's jewelry including her wedding ring. Some other items were taken that have no monetary value but have high personal value. A jewelry box belonging to my dad was taken (he passed away several years ago. I was keeping it strictly for personal reasons) and some jewelry that belonged to my wife's cousin were taken (she died from cancer… Continue

Who do you say Jesus is?

I love discussing theology with people. When discussing Christianity with people from other denominations there has to be some place to begin, some starting point, where we can agree. That starting point is this: "Who do you say Jesus is?"

I can talk with Baptists, Methodists, Assembly of God because those denominations believe the same thing about Jesus. We may disagree about other doctrinal issues. But there is agreement about who Jesus is.

When I talk with people who…

My Experience with the Dentist

I want to write this down before I pass out. My recollection of my oral surgery. Warning: Could get graphic.

My wife, Pam, got me to the doctor by 10:00 on Tuesday, February 16. After waiting around for about 30 minutes (watched a movie on my iPod to take my mind off what was about to happen t)he nurse came out, held the door open and said, "Mr. McKee?" I asked her if I could finish my movie first - would take about 6 hours. She was NOT amused. She reminded me of Nurse Cratchett.…

A Mother's Love

This is what I read at my mother's funeral. Thought I would share it.

Good morning. People who know me are always a little afraid when I get behind a microphone because they never know exactly what I am going to say.

My name is Ken. I stopped using the name Kenneth because that was the name used by mom when I was in trouble. And that was pretty often. I’m the middle kid. I want to share with you what I think a mother’s love means. If you are at all familiar with Jacob in… Continue

My Mother

It has been awhile since I posted anything. Last Thursday my mother passed away. She went to be with the Lord while she slept. The funeral was Saturday. I have waves of emotion that run over me like I have never felt before. When my cousin died in 2002 I didn't feel this way. When my dad died of cancer in 2006 I didn't feel this way. I knew losing my mom would be hard but I never realized it would be this hard.

Last Friday I was listening to some Chris Tomlin songs. I felt I was… Continue

Down But Not Out!

I have been going through a period of depression and despair, especially this past weekend. I wasn't sure what the problem was. I took some antidepressants but that didn't seem to work. I have been really tired but unable to get a full night's sleep.

I am scheduled for a complete physical on Thursday. At almost 56 years of age I am sure some of my parts aren't working as well as they used to. I can certainly feel the difference. And I have gained weight like never before. So, I guess… Continue

Don't call them "The Unborn"

Don't call them unborn babies.

Don't call them unborn children.

Don't call them "The Unborn."

Just call them babies.

Just call them children.

Place of residence should not determine their status as human beings.

Place of residence should not determine their status as persons.

When your children are inside your house do you call them "my in-home children?"

When they are outside your house do you call them "my… Continue

Obama Pro-Abortion

Barack Obama is the most pro-abortion President this country has ever had. He’s not even “pro-choice.” Consider the following:

Obama thinks that partial birth abortion is a "legitimate medical procedure" and voted in favor of partial birth abortions.

Obama opposed legislation protecting babies who survive abortion.

Obama opposed parental notification of minor girls before they can obtain an abortion.

Obama stated “the first thing I’d do as president… Continue

The Personhood of the Unborn

The pro-abortion side of the abortion debate has won in the past, not because their arguments were logical or well-founded, but because of emotional appeals. They kept telling us that abortion promotes equal rights, that those who oppose abortions are intolerant, and that abortions heal women who have been raped. Meanwhile, they were allowed to get away with arguments like, "the fetus is just a blob of tissue," "the fetus is not a human being," "the fetus is just part of the woman's body," and… Continue

Civil Disobedience to Save Unborn Children: Is "Rescuing" Right?

The Reason for Rescuing

"Rescuing" is a united action in which people peacefully place their bodies in front of the entrances of an abortion clinic. The purpose is to prevent access to the clinic, and to thereby save the lives of unborn children who would otherwise be killed shortly after their mothers enter the building.

Of course, mothers denied entrance still have the option of rescheduling an appointment at another time, at the same clinic or a different one. But the… Continue

"Why do you show those sickening, bloody pictures?"

Many people ask us,

"Why do you show those sickening, bloody pictures?"

Let us briefly explain our purpose for displaying the photographs:

Ending Censorship

We display these photographs because the media has censored the preborn child from the "abortion debate.” The American press refuses to show the American people what these babies look like who are dying in the womb. We are simply attempting to bypass that media blackout by going to the streets and displaying… Continue

Are Preborn Babies a People Group Worthy of Our Ministry?

From MISSIONARIES TO THE PREBORN

Preborn children are the most oppressed people group in the world today. In America, 4500 of them are murdered by abortion every day. That is a million and a half every year. Worldwide, 55 million are murdered every year.

All across the world there has been a campaign to strip preborn children of their humanity. They have been called "blobs of tissue," "products of conception," and "fetuses." All these terms are meant to dehumanize… Continue

Who Will Speak Up For The Unborn?

One of the great things about having a blog is I can express how I am feeling and what I am thinking and put it in writing. Right now my voice is for the unborn who are being killed by abortion everyday in this country and around the world. They don't have a voice. They can't defend themselves before they are slaughtered. They can't plead their case to anyone because they have no voice. Someone has to speak… Continue
