Hearts Ring

Laugh and sing, let the joy in your hearts ring,

For The Creator of man, has given us A King.

He has made right for us, all that was wrong,

so, reach out to one another, let love be our song.

Let go now your hearts, to love even stronger,

to bring His return so we'll not wait any longer.

Go…

The Heart Cry

"Is it true the heart doth cry".

"I hope it is" said dry eye.

"I often hear it's desperate plea",

was the response from bended knee.

Again. the mind surprised by this,

"what cause has brought such amiss".

And then the lips said "hold on there, …

Heterodoxy

In the New Testament, Paul once took the Greek word translated "to teach" (didaskalia) and added the word heteros, which means "of a different kind." The English word heterodoxy means something that is the opposite of orthodoxy. The combination of those two Greek words refered to teaching heresy. I know most of you are aware that, not everyone that talks about God is serving Him nor His people's best interests. We have many warnings about deceivers entering the… Continue

A Mystery

What Christ has done in me is a mystery

He is done yet I’ve only began to see

I found a peace I thought did not exist

A constant companion within my midst

A love within not of my own

A connection now unto the throne

Joy in measure beyond compare

A comfort now…

Open Heart Surgery

THE OPEN HEART SURGERY Series is a group of stories about people who have fallen through the crack, some would say. People, who, for one reason or another, have dropped out of society, hidden away. Some have gotten to that point on their own, while others have been pushed there by the circumstances of an evil world. But I believe The Lord wants us to look at them, listen to them, find them, and… Continue

Authority

Authority, Do you feel as though you have authority. You do, you know. Do you speak with authority. What is it, how do we get it, and why do we need it? That is the subject of this study, today.

Listen to a story from Luke about an interesting occurrence in the life of Jesus that is largely concerning this issue of authority. Usually, this area of scripture is taught concerning "faith", and it is about faith.…

Loves Hopes Are Fadeless

Loves' hopes are fadeless under all circumstances, and it endures everything [without weakening].

Hopeth all things, is the KJV of 1 Cor 13:7 for the study we will look at today.

This word Hopeth, all by itself, was "elPIS" in the original text and simply meant to desire of some good with the expectation of obtaining it.

Generally. Spoken especially of those who experience the hope of salvation through Christ, eternal life, and blessedness. Of a hope in or on… Continue

Love Believes The Best In Everyone

Love believes the best of everyone. Love is ever ready to believe the best of every person.

Too often we (I'm still just talking about those whom are in Christ) are drawn to hear the worst about someone.

In this area of our study, I think we should consider how often we find ourselves focused, or concerned, or even amused by negative things we here about those we are suppose to love, and how wrong it is.

Remember, God looks at the heart… Continue

Love and Science

Love And Science

The Lord will not let me move on from this study of Love. By now you can see, it really turns out to be a picture of God, Himself.

When I teach about Love sometimes and say that, "God 'Is' love", I believe most people think of a spiritual power out there that thinks a whole lot about us and wants us to return the favor to Him and to each other.

Well, He is like that, but when the bible says that God "Is" Love, that is what He actually… Continue

Cell Block 316

Its not those bars that hold her prisoner,

Its something stronger deep within her.

Something that was always there,

confusion was what she'd declare.

But now with so much looking back,

confusion couldn't be the tack.

Though justified, she was always mean,

still…

Love

What if God loved and then took it back.

Is that the way we'd expect love to act.

What if in one more day someone would turn to Him.

only to find that their struggle rest solely on whim.

The patience of Gods' love must be greater you see.

More patient with Himself than we think it should be.

To say it was love and then take it back...

What kind of love would you call that.

Adding conditions that if just one could not… Continue

Love Bears Up Under Anything

Love bears up under anything and everything that comes. Bears up in spite of all things evil, and is not overcome. This is the idea of "beareth." Love bears up against the tide of evil, as the rock against the waves.

When a man and woman marry, they vow to love each other "in sickness and in health, for richer or poorer, for better or worse." This type of love is characteristic of the love described in I Corinthians 13. This kind of love, we have learned in our other… Continue

Softer Than Air

Softer Than Air

Eight hours now without a break,

don't they know that her feet ache.

Running late to pick up the kids,

their Dads is in jail for selling lids.

I love you the words were softer than air,

Startled she turns but no one is there.

Sneak past the landlord one time again,

delaying her rent until the weekend.

Need to make dinner but the cupboard is bare,

praying to someone that just doesn't… Continue

Love Doesn't Rejoice At Injustice

LOVE DOES'NT REJOICE AT INJUSTICE

3 stars | 5 comments | December 11, 2008 | 351 reads

Love does not rejoice at injustice and unrighteousness, but rejoices when right and truth prevail.

I heard someone (a company I had been to) had recently been robbed. I found myself feeling kinda glad because of the way I had been treated by them in the past. This initial feeling quickly turned into GUILT which results in conflict between the Holy Spirit and the still… Continue

Love Takes No Account of Evil

Love takes no account of the evil done to it. Here again, the King James rendering, just doesn't cut it for me. It renders I Cor 13 verse 5 as "...thinketh no evil", but when you dig a little deeper into the original use of these words, you see that this refers to: a taking into account of things, and in this particular case, the thing is "NO EVIL".

Now in keeping within the context that this verse is in, we are talking about how LOVE, TAKES NO ACCOUNT OF THE EVIL DONE TO IT, another… Continue

What Kind Of Love Is This

What kind of love is this,

that searched my soul without remiss.

This love that fills from deep within,

bringing me to remit my sin.

Love that changed my brokeness,

and gave to me a heart of bliss.

A love that leads where I've not been,

And causes me to rejoice therein.

This love I have cannot be mine,

it must be Christ's, it's so divine.

Teaching me of things so true,

"His" love now I bring to… Continue

The Light

I held this love up to the light,

to see what grips my heart so tight.

What secret power lies within,

that softens hearts of callus men.

I held this love up to the light,

searching for the source so bright.

Could this love just be my own,

that reaches out to all unknown.

I held this love up to the light,

to understand with all my might.

The answer came from up above,

it was the 'Light' that was this… Continue

Love is Not Conceited

Love is not conceited (arrogant and inflated with pride) (ou physiOUtai) Original Greek Definition: To inflate, blow or puff up. In the NT spoken only figuratively of pride or self-conceit. Also from phySAo-:emphySAo- (1720), to breathe on, blow on. Before we get into this section of Love, I wanted to share something from Calvin.

"Nothing swells the minds of men so much as a high notion of their own wisdom"

(Calvin, p. 471).

We, Christians, know that… Continue
