It amazes me, little ignorant, unimformed me, how Christians are the biggest critics of God’s word. When right there before their eyes the word says this or that, but in an instant they will argue with you to disprove what God’s word says. How can you disprove God’s word, when it is right there before your eyes.

There have been many in the church today who do nothing but claim that when they come to Christ it will be fine for them, because when the trouble starts the Lord will pull them out of it. It's like another option that comes with coming to Christ. Mirrors that defrost themselves or seat warmers in your car. We are running a race. It’s a race to the end. Each day we train, each day we rest and each day we do it all over again. The race has begun and we are not to the finish line.

Too many times people think that at the time that you accept Jesus Christ as Lord, that the race is over. They think that now that the light has come to them and they have received a revelation of truth, that they are done, and now have entered that final rest.

There is a reality coming that supersedes by all conception and imagination, this temporal life of exceeding sorrows and fleeting pleasures. Yes, there is suffering involved in resisting the momentary pleasure or the temptations of the flesh.
