This is one of my favorite things ever written. Gen. Douglas MacArthur wrote this prayer for his son.
Gentlemen, how often do we pray for our fellow men? How often do we allow them to pray for us?Added by Thomas Heymans on February 5, 2008 at 12:52am — No Comments
Be obedient, no matter how much the Master’s plan doesn’t make sense to you.
Love your neighbor as yourself. Give to those less fortunate.
Be generous.
Relax and let God drive. Enjoy the ride!
Don’t be afraid. He said He would never leave us or forsake us!
Take time to rest and enjoy the company of friends.
Value, honor and enjoy your family, no matter how strange they seem to…

Dear Lord, I thank you for this day. I thank You for my being able to see and to hear this morning. I’m blessed because You are a forgiving God and an understanding God. You have done so much for me
and You keep on blessing me. Forgive me this day for everything I have
done, said or thought that was not pleasing to you. I ask now for Your
forgiveness.
Please keep me safe from all danger and harm. Help me to start this day with a new attitude and plenty of…

Once upon a time there was a bunch of tiny frogs.... who arranged a running competition.
The goal was to reach the top of a very high tower.
A big crowd had gathered around the tower to see the race and cheer on the contestants....
The race began....
Honestly:
No one in the crowd really believed that the tiny frogs would reach the top of the tower.
You heard statements such…

Blessed is the man who endures temptation; for when he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him

Paul in 2 Thess 1: 11 prayed that the saints would be found worthy of the call placed in their lives. Paul mentions this a few time, perhaps the most popular being his charge to Phillipi. "Whatever happens, conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ." ( Phil…

As Jesus went on from there, two blind men followed him, calling out, "Have mercy on us, Son of David!" When he had gone indoors, the blind men came to him, and he asked them, "Do you believe that I am able to do
this?" "Yes, Lord," they replied. Then he touched their eyes and
said, "According to your faith will it be done to you"; and their
sight was restored. (Matthew 9:27-30a…

15But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect.
could some please explain this to me? I felt like I was lead to this after I was praying for my brother restore his relationship with me.

For anyone who's ever written anything personal, you know how difficult it is when others read it. It doesn't matter if it's a sentimental birthday card, a love letter, or a note to your son's teacher, when you write something intended to be read by others, there is a sense of dread...and hope. I've been a writer since I could write, but for the first time in my life, I feel like what I have to say should be read. Well, mostly I feel that way on good days.
I am stepping out of my…

I think beyond Him being God and ominiscient, there is something about Christ's human nature that allowed Him to sympathize with people. I don't know what it is. perhaps it's the fact that He is perfection. what was it about Christ that allowed Him to sympathize with those in need?
I believe Christ is a very very manly man, I don't suscribe to the "surfer dude" nor the stained-glass-window-teary-eyed idea of Christ. yet there is something about…
