Christians Still Die and There is Religious Persecution in Mexico

Christians Still Die And there is Religious Persecution in Mexico

On October 13th, I had the honor and privilege of presenting information about Religious Persecution in Mexico at the VOM/USA office in Oklahoma, for the first time representing our own office, VOM en Mexico. Actually getting there was the battle... on the way to the border in San Luis Colorado, where I planned on visiting my daughter Jaimee and grandson Lonney Ray (pictured here with the Lion), my wallet will all my… Continue

Love and Science

Love And Science

The Lord will not let me move on from this study of Love. By now you can see, it really turns out to be a picture of God, Himself.

When I teach about Love sometimes and say that, "God 'Is' love", I believe most people think of a spiritual power out there that thinks a whole lot about us and wants us to return the favor to Him and to each other.

Well, He is like that, but when the bible says that God "Is" Love, that is what He actually… Continue

Cell Block 316

Its not those bars that hold her prisoner,

Its something stronger deep within her.

Something that was always there,

confusion was what she'd declare.

But now with so much looking back,

confusion couldn't be the tack.

Though justified, she was always mean,

still…

Incredible God

I read something the other day, something I have heard countless times before. Something that never really struck me in it fullest and most incredible entirety, that Jesus Christ took our sins upon Himself. Until I read it once more in “One Minute after You Die,” it had never struck me for how profoundly loving an act that was. A sure sign of an incredible God.

The physical, mental, and emotional pain Christ endured in His crucifixion must have been unimaginably horrible. As the… Continue

My 2nd Birthday

This week I celebrate the 2nd year of my rebirth in the Lord!

I am indeed a new creature in Him, and I marvel at the fruit He has grown in me in such a short time. Not too long ago, I only just learned the word "sanctification", and now I look back and see the work Jesus has done, and continues to do in my life. Praise God!!

Although I am "unequally yoked", a year ago the Lord placed me in a ministry that brought me into fellowship with mature, loving Christians. They are… Continue

Bearers of the glory of God

...Through God's mercy we have this ministry... the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ... is the image of God. For we do not preach ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord. - 2 Corinthians 4:1, 4-5

We can instil ideas in our minds and misdirect ourselves in the most important of all respects, namely the purpose of our lives. We can believe that we were born to research the riddles of space, to know the secrets of the sea, to raise children, to marry, to compose music, to… Continue

Love

What if God loved and then took it back.

Is that the way we'd expect love to act.

What if in one more day someone would turn to Him.

only to find that their struggle rest solely on whim.

The patience of Gods' love must be greater you see.

More patient with Himself than we think it should be.

To say it was love and then take it back...

What kind of love would you call that.

Adding conditions that if just one could not… Continue

THIS WEEKS MESSAGE NOV.1ST 2009

Welcome to the Tribulation

Matthew 24:9-24:14

This is the Lord’s final message on the End of the World, which is only the beginning of eternity! The ‘beginning of sorrows’ speaks of the birth pangs this world will feel both before the rapture and during the first portion of the Great Tribulation.

You won’t find the church in this passage because it is gone. Aren’t you glad we are not appointed unto wrath?! The same thing happens in Revelation where up… Continue

Pets and Christians

Tonight was Halloween night. I know that the kids get excited about certain scary stuff. However, I think Halloween can cause a little bad than good. I spent the whole day preparing the "perfect" Halloween party for my step-children. They invited some friends over. Well, around 7:00 p.m. a mother came into my house holding my baby which is a small yorki dog. I have owned this dog for over five years with no health problems. She ran over my dog with her car. I was furious. She claimed it was an… Continue

95 Thesis - Apostle Greg Gordon

95 Theses To The Evangelical Church by Greg Gordon(today's Martin Luther?)

"I have been writing this volume while residing in Germany for a teaching trip. I am humbled by penning these 95 theses in the same country as Martin Luther did many years ago. I submit these to the evangelical church of our day and pray that God would allow anything of truth in these pages to bend and change men's hearts back to God." - Greg Gordon -… Continue

The Heart Cry

"Is it true the heart doth cry".

"I hope it is" said dry eye.

"I often hear it's desperate plea",

was the response from bended knee.

Again. the mind surprised by this,

"what cause has brought such amiss".

And then the lips said "hold on there,

'twas the heart that always sent me prayer".

Praying hands could not keep quiet,

and blurted out, "you can't deny it".

"Oh mind with all your great control,

did you not… Continue

THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A LAZY CHRISTIAN

"Faithful ministers of the word are laborious ones..." - John Gill's Exposition of the Entire Bible

"I laboured more abundantly than they all...This is a sober fact as shown by the Acts and Paul's Epistles. He had tremendous energy and used it. Genius is work, Carlyle said. Take Paul as a specimen." - Robertson's Word Pictures

"We must give account how we have spent our time, how we have improved our opportunities, what we have done and how we have done it." - Matthew… Continue

Love Bears Up Under Anything

Love bears up under anything and everything that comes. Bears up in spite of all things evil, and is not overcome. This is the idea of "beareth." Love bears up against the tide of evil, as the rock against the waves.

When a man and woman marry, they vow to love each other "in sickness and in health, for richer or poorer, for better or worse." This type of love is characteristic of the love described in I Corinthians 13. This kind of love, we have learned in our other… Continue

Softer Than Air

Softer Than Air

Eight hours now without a break,

don't they know that her feet ache.

Running late to pick up the kids,

their Dads is in jail for selling lids.

I love you the words were softer than air,

Startled she turns but no one is there.

Sneak past the landlord one time again,

delaying her rent until the weekend.

Need to make dinner but the cupboard is bare,

praying to someone that just doesn't… Continue

Love Doesn't Rejoice At Injustice

LOVE DOES'NT REJOICE AT INJUSTICE

3 stars | 5 comments | December 11, 2008 | 351 reads

Love does not rejoice at injustice and unrighteousness, but rejoices when right and truth prevail.

I heard someone (a company I had been to) had recently been robbed. I found myself feeling kinda glad because of the way I had been treated by them in the past. This initial feeling quickly turned into GUILT which results in conflict between the Holy Spirit and the still… Continue

WHAT IS IMPORTANT? WHAT MAKES FOR SUCCESS?

What are the things that are important to us in society? What does the world say we need to succeed?

According to most societies, to succeed one needs to be learned (have a good education), to be self-made (strong, determined and confident), and to be well-born (come from good family). Africa is no exception to those expectations. However, what does God say?

Let's take a peak in the Bible and see. In 1 Corinthians 1, look at the ones that God chooses.

"For… Continue

Love Takes No Account of Evil

Love takes no account of the evil done to it. Here again, the King James rendering, just doesn't cut it for me. It renders I Cor 13 verse 5 as "...thinketh no evil", but when you dig a little deeper into the original use of these words, you see that this refers to: a taking into account of things, and in this particular case, the thing is "NO EVIL".

Now in keeping within the context that this verse is in, we are talking about how LOVE, TAKES NO ACCOUNT OF THE EVIL DONE TO IT, another… Continue

What Kind Of Love Is This

What kind of love is this,

that searched my soul without remiss.

This love that fills from deep within,

bringing me to remit my sin.

Love that changed my brokeness,

and gave to me a heart of bliss.

A love that leads where I've not been,

And causes me to rejoice therein.

This love I have cannot be mine,

it must be Christ's, it's so divine.

Teaching me of things so true,

"His" love now I bring to… Continue
