PSALM 95 DEVOTIONAL,TESTIMONY AND PRAISE REPORT

Today’s devotional is a testimony, praise report and a devotional all rolled into one. Last year as I sat upon the rocks on Lake Huron the day before I left to come back home from my vacation and visiting my mother, I prayed!! I prayed and asked our Father “how many more times will I have to leave this place that I do not want to leave?” It was getting harder and harder for me to do so with every passing year of visiting there. I asked Him, would I ever be able to just stay there? He…

Pressed down, but not crushed

Two men met to transact some business in wartime. The one was full of how the train in which he had travelled had been attacked from the air. He would not stop talking about the

excitement, the danger, and the narrow escape. The other

man, in the end, said quietly—‘Well, let’s get on with our business now. I’d

like to get away fairly early because my house was demolished by a bomb

last night.’…

My introduction

Hi everyone, I would like to take this time to introduce myself and tell everyone why I am here.

First off I would like to say that as a child my family would go to church, not every Sunday, but we did go alot. We also went to church every Christmas eve. I also attended Sunday school as a child. When I was a child for me it was hard to learn all about Jesus. I guess you can say my mind and heart was on other things.

As years went on my dad became sick and everything that we did…

PSALM 94 DEVOTIONAL

Ooooohhh!!! This ones a harsh one, yet very true as our almighty God is omnipresent and omnipotent. Oh Lord, I pray for us all that we walk straight in Your path of righteousness and guard even our thoughts. You see all and know all Father God. Keep us from all forms of deceit, malice and persecution against us. Forgive us all our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. We know there are bad spirits that often times reside in the minds, hearts and souls of man and we pray… Continue

On the road again. 2 Corinthians 1.1-7

Where did we leave brother Paul? We look now at his letter to the church he had established in the city of Corinth, in which he

encouraged, instructed, and corrected the body of believers. In

our study of 1 Corinthians, we learned so much about our Christian

faith, including proper conduct within the church, and how different the

church should be from the world around us. Paul explained

the essential…

PSALM 93 DEVOTIONAL

PSALM 93 DEVOTIONAL

PRAISE GOD!!! His promises are FOREVER!! His Truth stands up against all that is of and in this world we live in. Amid the darkness of this world His light will never be extinguished inside of the hearts and souls of those who love Him. That light will not be snuffed out or suffocated from breaking through to a world that is full of souls who reach out to find this light. Against the trials, broken dreams, disappointments and injustice, God’s children will STAND, upright… Continue

PSALM 92 DEVOTIONAL

So often in the rush of our daily lives we forget to praise our Lord and thank Him for all that is in our lives and for life itself. How deeply is Jesus in our hearts? Just for an example, do we remember what it is like to be in love with someone? How we cannot get that person out of our minds all day no matter what we are doing and it is even difficult to concentrate on anything else? All day long we anticipate getting back to that person to be with them again but we carry them around in our… Continue

My God and my Dad

My dad got sick when I was 12 years old. He lost his legs for two years because of his sickness and died when I was 14 years old. I remember so many good things about my dad but one thing that sticks to my mind and I will always treasure in my heart is this one incident. I was acting fresh, talking like an unsaved teen. I was answering my mom in an unapropriate tone and thought I knew it all. My actions made her so mad and promised me good spanking right then and there (lol). I got…

Should Christians celebrate Father's Day?

Sunday, June 20, 2010, is the day America celebrates as Father’s Day. It was first celebrated in the United States, in June of 1910. Predictably. Like its holiday companion known as Mother’s Day, it also has Pagan roots. Read more>>

Abominations

I was having a discussion with one of my sisters. It was about how abominations are different from other sins. Also if a Christian can be a struggling homosexual by failing to not have sex with same gender.

If all sins are equal, then why does Bible imply abominations are different?
