Your New Year’s Resolution. January, 2014

When did I stop?  Can’t really remember when I gave up the practice, just know that I have not really made a New Year’s Resolution for some time.  Guess I believe most resolutions wind up in a scrapheap, without much but frustration left behind. …

Understand what the Lord’s will is in 2014

Understand what the Lord’s will is in 2014

Pastor Bob Bushman

01-05-14

Text: Ephesians 5:15 17

Most of us seem to be very busy. We’re always in a hurry. We walk fast, talk fast, & eat fast. And after we eat, all too often, we stand up & say, "Excuse me, I’ve gotta run."

So here we are, at the first Sunday of 2014.

I wonder how we’ll do…

Our hope is in the Lord always.

Psalm 31:24

Be strong and take heart, all you who hope in the Lord.

So many we love and care for are still lost. But God has placed hope in our hearts by giving us his Holy Spirit. Be strong. Trust…

THE HOPE CHEST

This is a short story the Lord gave me a couple years ago to help some folks with issues of forgiveness they were carrying on their walk. There are hidden hurts of the heart that we all have to deal with.

                                                                            The Hope Chest

Suzie Q. was a beautiful, bright young woman who decided to answer the invitation and receive Jesus Christ at a regular…

Eye Check up!

We might wanna get a eye check up. No I am not talking about going to the eye doctor. I am talking about going to Jesus to put his ointment in your eyes so we can see the truth better about all things in our life and the life of others. As the word of God says in Revelation 3:18-Buy also some ointment to put on your eyes, so that you may see. Their might be some things that we are doing in our lives that is causing us not see Jesus clearly. Because we have our eyes set on the…

The Scenery Behind the Scenes

www.myreadywriter.blogspot.com

Hello Friends!

This is definitely going to be my last post for year 2013. Since I started blogging on this site, I have been so overwhelmed by the amount of response and feedback I have received. They have kept me going…

11 Bible health rules:

A. Eat your meals at regular intervals, and do not use animal fat or blood.

"Eat in due season." Ecclesiates 10:17. "It shall be a perpetual statute ... that ye eat neither fat nor blood." Leviticus 3:17.

Note: Recent scientific studies have confirmed the fact that most heart attacks result from a high cholesterol level in the blood, and that the use of "fats" is largely responsible for this high level. It looks like the Lord knows what He is talking about after…

Self-Abasement

In my research of "self" & the studying of the destruction of depending on self instead of God, one of the most interesting words I have come across is self-abasement. The definition is a degradation or humiliation of oneself, especially because of feelings of guilt or inferiority. Voluntary self-punishment or humiliation in order to atone for some real or imagined wrongdoing. Self-abasement might have a religious aspect for those seeking humility before God.

Cutting is an example…

Neverless

Nevertheless

Posted: 05 Dec 2011 04:22 AM PST

I love that word.

I’m going to start using it more often.

I feel sluggish today.

Nevertheless, I’m going to get up and get going. Even if my progress is slow, I’m going to move forward.

I’m offended by what they said to me.

Nevertheless, I will choose to forgive, and refuse to become bitter. God’s done too much for me to stay stuck in this.

Nobody seems to…

HaHa

There was this young boy sitting on a parked bench. He was reading the Bible when he shouted, "Wow!!! Praise God. He is so good." A passerby asked him what he was so excited about. He said, "I'm reading the story of Moses where God parted the waters so Israel could walk across." The man sat down & said, "Son, they have proven that back during those days, the Red Sea only had 10" of water so that's what made it possible for them to cross." The man got up & was proud of himself…

The Best Christmas Gift ever and guess what it is free.

It is the best gift that God has gaven us because he love us so much and that is (Jesus Christ) As the word of God says in John 3:16-For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. That's right my friends you are love by God, you believe in Jesus and now you have everlasting life. See the world is only shopping for things that are going to perish that does not give…

Let's Delve into "Twelve" in the Scriptures

www.myreadywriter.blogspot.com

The twelfth month is usually a time of thanksgiving, celebration, giving of gifts and it connotes the end of a year.  It’s a good time to look back and appreciate what God has done in the outgoing year and look forward to endless possibilities in the New Year. All over the world, Christmas…
