"A great deal of the labour of faithful ministers is labour in vain; and, when it is so, it cannot but be a great grief to those who desire the salvation of souls."
"The labour of ministers is in vain upon those who begin in the Spirit and end in the flesh, who, though they seem to set out well, yet afterwards turn aside from the way of the gospel."
"It is the devil's design to hinder the good fruit and effect of the preaching of the gospel. If he cannot hinder ministers from…

Delete Post Edit Blog Posts..In school, years ago, my teacher would have a roll call every morning and each student whose name was called would reply "here" obviously there was silence if a student was absent - well in most cases sometimes a student whose name was called and was present was so busy doodling or reading or simply ignoring the teacher. It would require a second call to that student in order for them to respond. Those whose names had to…

Then Jesus said to his disciples: "Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat; or about your body, what you will wear. Life is more than food, and the body more than clothes. Consider the ravens: They do not sow or reap, they have no storeroom or barn; yet God feeds them. And how much more valuable you are than birds! Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life? Since you cannot do this very little thing, why do you worry about the…

Loves' hopes are fadeless under all circumstances, and it endures everything [without weakening].
Hopeth all things, is the KJV of 1 Cor 13:7 for the study we will look at today.
This word Hopeth, all by itself, was "elPIS" in the original text and simply meant to desire of some good with the expectation of obtaining it.
Generally. Spoken especially of those who experience the hope of salvation through Christ, eternal life, and blessedness. Of a hope in or on…

Love believes the best of everyone. Love is ever ready to believe the best of every person.
Too often we (I'm still just talking about those whom are in Christ) are drawn to hear the worst about someone.
In this area of our study, I think we should consider how often we find ourselves focused, or concerned, or even amused by negative things we here about those we are suppose to love, and how wrong it is.
Remember, God looks at the heart…

"To look back on the past, and see what we have missed, is a good lesson for the future." - Pulpit Commentary - Old Testament
"What might have been!"
These have to be the saddest words ever spoken.
What might have been in your life - if only you would have...?
In the Scriptures, we find the Lord God Almighty lamenting over the loss that His people suffered. Their misfortune did not happen because He withheld from them His blessings. It happened…

Christians Still Die And there is Religious Persecution in Mexico
On October 13th, I had the honor and privilege of presenting information about Religious Persecution in Mexico at the VOM/USA office in Oklahoma, for the first time representing our own office, VOM en Mexico. Actually getting there was the battle... on the way to the border in San Luis Colorado, where I planned on visiting my daughter Jaimee and grandson Lonney Ray (pictured here with the Lion), my wallet will all my…

Love And Science
The Lord will not let me move on from this study of Love. By now you can see, it really turns out to be a picture of God, Himself.
When I teach about Love sometimes and say that, "God 'Is' love", I believe most people think of a spiritual power out there that thinks a whole lot about us and wants us to return the favor to Him and to each other.
Well, He is like that, but when the bible says that God "Is" Love, that is what He actually…

Its not those bars that hold her prisoner,
Its something stronger deep within her.
Something that was always there,
confusion was what she'd declare.
But now with so much looking back,
confusion couldn't be the tack.
Though justified, she was always mean,
still… Continue

I read something the other day, something I have heard countless times before. Something that never really struck me in it fullest and most incredible entirety, that Jesus Christ took our sins upon Himself. Until I read it once more in “One Minute after You Die,” it had never struck me for how profoundly loving an act that was. A sure sign of an incredible God.
The physical, mental, and emotional pain Christ endured in His crucifixion must have been unimaginably horrible. As the…

This week I celebrate the 2nd year of my rebirth in the Lord!
I am indeed a new creature in Him, and I marvel at the fruit He has grown in me in such a short time. Not too long ago, I only just learned the word "sanctification", and now I look back and see the work Jesus has done, and continues to do in my life. Praise God!!
Although I am "unequally yoked", a year ago the Lord placed me in a ministry that brought me into fellowship with mature, loving Christians. They are…

...Through God's mercy we have this ministry... the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ... is the image of God. For we do not preach ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord. - 2 Corinthians 4:1, 4-5
We can instil ideas in our minds and misdirect ourselves in the most important of all respects, namely the purpose of our lives. We can believe that we were born to research the riddles of space, to know the secrets of the sea, to raise children, to marry, to compose music, to…

What if God loved and then took it back.
Is that the way we'd expect love to act.
What if in one more day someone would turn to Him.
only to find that their struggle rest solely on whim.
The patience of Gods' love must be greater you see.
More patient with Himself than we think it should be.
To say it was love and then take it back...
What kind of love would you call that.
Adding conditions that if just one could not…

Welcome to the Tribulation
Matthew 24:9-24:14
This is the Lord’s final message on the End of the World, which is only the beginning of eternity! The ‘beginning of sorrows’ speaks of the birth pangs this world will feel both before the rapture and during the first portion of the Great Tribulation.
You won’t find the church in this passage because it is gone. Aren’t you glad we are not appointed unto wrath?! The same thing happens in Revelation where up…

Tonight was Halloween night. I know that the kids get excited about certain scary stuff. However, I think Halloween can cause a little bad than good. I spent the whole day preparing the "perfect" Halloween party for my step-children. They invited some friends over. Well, around 7:00 p.m. a mother came into my house holding my baby which is a small yorki dog. I have owned this dog for over five years with no health problems. She ran over my dog with her car. I was furious. She claimed it was an…
