Jesus Died for Me?

I have been a christian all of my life, and am embarressed to admit this, but I just dont quite understand the whole concept that Jesus died so that I would be forgiven of my sins.

Can someone help me to understand? I so desparatly want a relationship with God, but I feel like this is holding me back.

NOT EVERYONES PURPOSE IS THE SAME

I never knew my purpose. Was it being a believer or being a self indulger? Or in between as a little bit of both? Benevolence from the Heart

There is a friend of mine who finds joy daily from giving and blessing others. Nobody is perfect....

I wish we could all say that once we start following God that we're perfect and no longer make mistakes but it's not possible. Sin is a disease we inherited from Adam and Eve our First parents that get passed forever more through-out generations. We can do whatever we can do to possibly stop doing wrong, but no matter how hard we try the battle between spirit and flesh is ever-going on. Living with God

I am a new Christian, trying to study and learn and always grow closer to God. I believe that Jesus is the son of the living God, sent to earth to pay for our sins, he died on the cross shed his blood to wash away our sins, then rose from the dead after having conqured death. In golf sometimes a golfer is given a second chance which allows the player to do a particular move or action again. Mainly, the shot will not be tallied on the score card.
