Don't be a Geep!

Imagine a green, lush pasture. In the pasture are many sheep and the loving Shepherd standing close by ready to lead and protect them. The sheep are very content.

Now imagine another pasture. This one's not as lush as the other. Lots of rocks in the ground and just patchy grass here and there. This pasture has lots of goats in it. And the keeper of the goats isn't paying much attention to them. Yet they follow him, listening to his lies about greener pastures and being led in one…

James 1:24

James 1:2-4   Consider it all joy, my brethren, when you encounter various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. And let endurance have its perfect result, so that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing. (NASB)

I was brought up to follow Christ...

Our Only Hope is Jesus:  "Therefore did my heart rejoice, and my tongue was glad; moreover also my flesh shall rest in hope: Because thou wilt not leave my soul in hell, neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption." (Acts 2:26-27)

Poem: And Yet His Hand...

Despite the trials of this earthly world

and the continued foolishness of men,

God wants His Principles completely unfurled -

For He loves His Children, while hating sin.

His anger is not turned away

and yet His Hand is outstretched still.

Our Salvation awaits its appointed day

with the meshing of our spirits to His Will.

As long as we continue to breathe,

there's Hope for us to loving cleave;

He's promised that His Spirit will never leave…

Poem: For Your Review

Once my earthly journey is complete,

humbly I'll stand before Your judgment seat.

So in advance I faithfully pray to have

a positive ruling for you to mete.

Grace and mercy carried me;

Your covering on my life you should see.

Hopefully You'll remember that I

promoted Your Kingdom for eternity.

Despite flaws and failures absurd,

hidden in my heart is Your Holy Word.

An attitude of lifelong praise I've spoken

based on what I've…

Poem: The Bridegroom Cometh

Preparations by the Groom have been completed;

He joyfully awaits the day

that marks the remainder of eternity

when the Church shall be swept away.

He has created a wondrous place

where rows of mansions are perfectly aligned.

Angels will sing beautiful songs

announcing souls' arrival; including yours and mine.

Despite imperfections of His bride,

the Lord daily intercedes with heartfelt prayer.

The celestial wedding feast shall take place…

The Lost Art of Letter Writing. Philippians 4.21-23

Nobody mourned its impending death . . . no one talked about how much it would be missed.  No billboards or television commercials warned of the void it would leave . . . yet, just like that, it has almost vanished as a viable connection of hearts, of happenings and goings-on, as exchange of cordialities, and recording of historical events—it is the irreplaceable hand-written letter.…

five, two, and one talents

Matt 25:15-18 15To one he gave five bags of sliver, and to another two bags of sliver, and to another one bag of sliver, each man according to his power, and he immediately went abroad. 16But he who received five talents went and traded them and gained five others. 17So also he of the two gained two others. 18But he who received one went and dug in the ground and buried the money of his lord. I want to talk about the third one first. I have wondered, in…

Concerned & Worried

I am concerned for my 19 yr old son.  He is just out of jail, after serving 69 days for driving while impaired - long story but this happened last April and he just did his jail time now.  It took 6 months of going to court and delays, and final verdict/sentencing in Sept.  He got 1 yr. probation, of which he did one month.  He volunteered for jail vs. doing one yr of probation (6 mo. Intensive/6 mo. regular).  He has only been home since Friday and I am ready to kick him out.  I need…

You are a Hoarder and too blind to see it!

be ye transformed by the renewing of your ....

All over the world the faces
of God’s children

Do we still think we are of no use
How  can we believe God created us simply for abuse

Oh God, Master, Holy One
Fill us with the Light.
Give us the strength to understand,
And the eyes to see all living things are one"

Teach us, teach us

God Centered

A lot of us in our early years with Christ find that we are self-centred instead of being God-centred. We do not allow certain parts of Christ into our relationship because it does not fit into our everyday life. We have to learn to re-align our thoughts and meditate on what it is that is controlling our everyday living and decide what is more important, God, or whatever it is that is slowing our journey with him. You have to remember that God does not give us multiple choices. You’re…

ZION TRAIN: The Heavens Opened: Part 12

The Heavens Opened: Part 12

By Anna Rountree

(Continuation)

Counterfeit Unity:

Indeed, black snakes were in these dead trees, as well as covering the brackish mire. They were hissing and writhing, constantly moving over one another as if mating.’ A false unity, a joining in the black mind, I thought. It occurred to me that as the Lord is bringing together a oneness in Himself, so the devil is birthing a counterfeit unity.

Jesus spoke, “The spawn…

Each Day

                  A new year just beginning,

Each day a fresh, new start,

                  To fulfill your hopes

                  And pursue the dreams

                  Sustained within your heart.

                  Put God in charge;

                  He'll plant the seeds

                  Of affection, love and care.

Like a garden, your life will grow

Addiction?

Do you have an addiction problem? Have you tried traditional 12-step programs like AA, NA, CA, OE and/or GA?

They never worked for me. Consider trying Celebrate Recovery.

What are your thoughts?

Thanks.

Speaking in Tongues

I would like to hear what people think of how this should work.  I understand that if you are to speak in tongues it should be done quietly (for self edification) or if it's done at church then an interpretation should follow.

I am sitting here watching a pastor on TV, and he's telling a story about being scared on a wildlife adventure.  He's explaining the fear he has and just laughs out "tongues" and then goes on with his story.

Is this how it works, because I just feel so…

ALZHEIMERS PRAYER

Dear Lord I know you're busy and I hate to bother you

With all the problems in the world you have so much to do

Yet I remember when I was a child being taught about your love

How you died to set me free and left your throne above

Now my body's aging and my mind's starting to go

People say I'm senile and forget things I should know

My family's trying to get me to leave my home and friends

They say they know what's best for me and how this…
