Before you say ‘good bye’ to 2014 …

There is a time for everything and a season for every activity under Heaven~

. . . a time to plant, and a time to uproot . . . a time to tear down, and a time to build . . . a time to scatter stones, and a time to gather them . . . a time to keep, and a time to throw away . . . a time to be silent, and a time to speak. from Ecclesiastes 3

How eloquent are the words of the philosophical writer of…

Why is it so hard to love others?  Why do we keep failing to follow God's commands?  Why do we struggle to forgive others?  Why can we not be perfect if we're told to be perfect?

Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect.…

The gift that satisfies

People are so eager for their Christmas present. Tearing the wrapping papers .Playing with the toys and other gifts, but how long does that entertainment last? Before they are out buying new gifts to get some other temporary thrill. But the sad thing about is, the end result of those purchases is about paying the debt to a credit card and lost of that short ecstatic emotion. But meanwhile there is a much better gift to give people. What kind of gift can bring healing to the…

A Christmas Story

A chilly wind blew across the land, but the skies were clear, while stars twinkled above. Mary and Joseph searched for a place to settle in for the night. They, like many of the people who crowded the city, had come to Bethlehem of Judea for taxation,…

Hello, Mary

Hello, Mary.

The two words make me smile—Hello, Mary. My first name is Mary, did you know that? Mary Christine. But indeed it was "Ave, Maria", the angel Gabriel spoke to Mary. In Latin, it means Greetings, Mary or Hello. A young virgin, Mary is told, 'you are going to have a son--a holy son--the one and only Son of God. You are highly esteemed by God, and this is how it will happen …' [Now this was the fulfillment of a prophecy written by the prophet Isaiah about 700 years…

Why some Christians struggle with their salvation

Do you See What I See?

DO YOU SEE WHAT I SEE? Before you answer that question, I will ask you another: do you love people? Stop. Interview yourself, and then answer the question honestly. If you do not, ask God to help you love others, for it is his will. I am on the last leg of my journey back across the United States, from New York back home to Southern California. The best part of travelling is all the people I meet along the way. I love New York City, but it is all of the people met in transit and whilst there…
