Soul food for the Day: The CENTER...

The center chapter of the BIBLE is Psalm 118.. there are 594 chapters before and after Psalm 118
And if we will add this we will get 1188... in which the center verse of the BIBLE is PSALM 118:8
What is the significant of Psalm 118:8 in God's perfect will for our lives?
It is better to trust in the LORD, than to put confidence in man.-- Psalm 118:8

When things get tough, always remember faith doesn't get you around trouble..
it gets you through it!
When you relinquish the desire to control your future you obtain happiness...

Prayer:
Father God, bless my friend in whatever it is that you know he/she may be needing this day....
May their life be full of your peace, prosperity and power as they seek to have closer relationship with you. Amen...

Rose,

I would like to encourage you to take just one day at a time.
Matt. 6:34 So do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will have worries and anxieties of it's own. Sufficient for each day is it's own trouble.

Each and every one of deal with life's different circumstances and we all at one time or another run into stressful situations. Pray for these children and know that God is for you and for them. Don't try to fix it yourself. Following are a few scriptures you can carry with you daily to encourage you. God Bless.........

Come unto Me, all you who labor and are heavy-laden and overburdened, and I will cause you to rest. Matt 11:28

Peace I leave with you, My peace I give unto you, let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. John 14:27

Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and He will strengthen your heart. Psalm 27:14

Do not fear; for I am with you; do not be dismayed; for I am your God; I will strengthen you; yes, I will help you. Isaiah 41:10

Cast all your care upon Him; for He cares for you. 1 Peter 5:7

Lean on, trust in, and be confident in the Lord with all your heart and mind and do not rely on your own insight or understanding. In all your ways know, recognize, and acknowledge Him, and He will direct and make straight and plain your paths. Proverbs 3:5-6

I will not in any way fail you nor give you up nor leave you without support. [I will] not, [I will] not in any degree leave you helpless nor forsake nor let [you] down (relax My hold on you)! [Assuredly not!]

Be encouraged today.
Blessings

God did not give us a spirit that makes us afraid but a spirit of power and love and self-control. 2 Timothy 1:7 (NCV)

*** *** *** ***

God wants you to develop a self-discipline that pushes you to do things, even as others are giving up.

Over the years, I’ve observed six key expressions of self-discipline:

People with self-discipline master their moods. They live by their commitments, not their emotions. People who do the right thing even when they don’t feel like it accomplish most of what gets done in the world! “A man without self-control is as defenseless as a city with broken-down walls” (Proverbs 25:28 LB).

People with self-discipline watch their words. They put their minds in gear before opening their mouths. “He who guards his lips guards his life” (Proverbs 13:3 NIV).

People with self-discipline restrain their reactions. How much can you take before you lose your cool? “If you are sensible, you will control your temper. When someone wrongs you, it is a great virtue to ignore it” (Proverbs 19:11 GNT).

People with self-discipline stick to their schedule. If you don’t determine how you will spend your time you can be sure that others will decide for you! “Live life, then, with a due sense of responsibility … Make the best use of your time” (Ephesians 5:15–16 PH).

People with self-discipline manage their money. They learn to live on less than what they make and they invest the difference. The value of a budget is that it tells your money where you want it to go rather than wondering where it went! “The wise man saves for the future, but the foolish man spends whatever he gets” (Proverbs 21:20 LB).

People with self-discipline maintain their health. That way they can accomplish more and enjoy their achievements. “Every one of you should learn to control his body, keeping it pure and treating it with respect” (1 Thessalonians 4:4 PH).

The disciplines you establish today will determine your success tomorrow. But it takes more than just willpower for lasting self-discipline. It takes a power greater than yourself: “God has not given us a spirit of fear, but a spirit of power and love and self-control” (2 Timothy 1:7 NLT/NCV).

The more I accept God’s control over my life, the more self-control he gives me!

Hello Rose,

Sorry for I couldn't get back to you soon enough since I was away from my place of work yesterday and I don't have a computer nor internet facilities in the house. I was happy to know that you are a teacher of American history to teens. What a tough job you must have on your plate my dear! The only consolation is that you are not alone as you work for you have Christ in you...through you and with you always! What's more, you have the holy spirit...that wonderful counsellor that we were all baptised with when we accepted Him...

Remember what He said that on our own we cannot do anything? But as long as we are embed in Him...the only true vine, we can do everything through him that strengthens us. I envy your position so much for as hard as America is on religious freedom, with prayers, you can pass along this wonderful message that brings victory to all! I will always pray that your students grow receptive the the word of God for without evangelizing the youth, we are all doomed. Nothing beats paryer my sister.

Thank you for being of service and God bless and be pleased with you.

In his love-Pst. Bernhard C.

Welcome to AAG. We want your experience here to be positive and uplifting. There are a couple of things that can help you maximize your experience.

Forums and Blogs: Forums are for asking questions and for sharing a response to a question someone has posted. This is a great opportunity for “iron to sharpen iron.” Blogs are for posting an opinion, view or specific message regarding a subject.

Making New Friends: You will make many new friends here on AAG. Some will send a friend invite to you. You have the choice to accept or decline. When an invite has been sent to you the “My Friends” the upper right box on your home page will be followed by the word “New”.” Simply click on the icon and make your choice. To invite someone to be your friend you simply need to go to their home page and click on “add as friend” under their personal photo. Once someone is your friend you will be able to email each of your friends on AAG. You can also leave a message on someone personal page, but note that everyone will be able to read what you leave there.

IMs: You can IM anyone who is on line by clicking on their picture located at the upper right part of the page.

Chat Room: There is a chat room located near the top of the AAG main page. It is a great place to get to know people better.

Videos: You can also upload Christian videos on the AAG main page or watch them. They are located down the left side of the main page.

If you have any questions feel free to ask. We are here to serve you to the best of our abilities.

We are glad you are here,
LT
