The reference

I only use a reference photo for just that, reference. I do not try to draw exactly what I see because then it would not be my creation, with my unique style. It would just be a photograph, a copy. If I wanted to draw a horse, I would need to look at a horse or a reference of. Why? because I do not know the anatomy of a horse off the top of my head. Reference is encouraged. It is not copying. Huge difference.
