Thanks for your words of wisdom!!! I really appreicate what you said. Please pray for us. My border just told me on Monday that she is moving out and I don't know if I will be able to find someone else. I am praying that God will send me someone that is good and decent so that we can stay in our home.
Thanks again and God Bless You!!!

Hello Debbie...so great to hear from you....and Happy Birthday to your son...Twenty...how fun!

I'm sorry to hear you are not feeling well...I'm lifting you up to the Lord as I type this. Make sure you are getting lots of rest.

...10 kids..Wow! You must have lots of the Lord's Love to give!...and patience...

Have you cleansed your sinuses with salt water? It really helps! also breath in salty steam.

okay...enough of my home remedies. I have your phone number and want to call you, and I will. almost 2 weeks ago since I started homeschooling Joshua, life has gotten quite busy..in a good way! He is a different kid.

    Lots of Love, Carla

    Debbie,
Thank you. I am home alone right now and very depressed. I dislike having these pity parties becuase I know there are people out there that have it much worse than I do. I have been sleeping a lot hence not getting things done around the house (my house is low mainteanace on the inside for the most part because I am alone and I keep it neat). My daughter and I are having problems again. As long as she gets her way then I am great but once I say she has to do something then she insults and disrespects me. When I made her leave the first time it was to only be for a couple of day so that we could talk it out with the counselor but it ended up beng 5 months. It was sooooo hard on me. She finally moved back and it was great. The rules were laid down (not many she is 18) and she isn't dont them. I dont harp on her but she still doesnt do them and then tells me if she is in a bad mood is because of blah blah blah - you name it. I am hurt, disapointed and I think she might move in with her dad (he is remarried, was in AA but still drinks and smokes pot). I really didnt want her to be around that but since she is 18 she has to make her own decisions.
My roommate also gave notice and is moving out. Thant means if I dont' find someone then I lose the house. I have been giving it to God, taken it back, giving it to him again - you get the picture. I think he might be a little angry because I am being lazy. I just dont seem to have the energy, willpower, I just want to sleep - what a way to live your life. I know it is wrong and it's seems I just can't help myself.
Oh please pray for me, my daughter and that God with give me strenghth.
Your words have helped and I feel that things have gotten worse and with Christmas coming up, the lonelyness seems so much harder.
I have been reading more about the bible and the bible and started jouneling last night. I am hoping that helps.
I went to chuch today and got my daughter's boyfriends father a birthday present because they have been sooooo good to my daughter. I guess that hurts too. She shows them so much respect.
I will stop rambling - thanks for reading and please keep the prayers coming.

    Hi Debbie....

The advice you gave for Sarah could very well be the advice you give to yourself! :)....But then God wants us in relationship relating to eachother.. ... :)

Remember, when someone comes to you asking for advice, always hand their situation over to the Lord and lay it at the foot of the Cross for Jesus to handle...or you may fall into the very thing you are trying to help them out of.

    Much Love in Christ, Carla
  • Carla

Hello my sheep sister...It is so beautiful the way that you have such a teachable spirit..Oh Lord I pray that for myself!

Anyway....my opinion...again always compare it to God's word and what He is telling you...But..
It think it is best to always encourage that person withour offering them advice...especially without consulting the Lord first. (I know you already always ask God first where He is working. :)...so I would encourage the person to seek God...remind them of His great Love...pass on some Scripture, help out with deeds if applicable...but avoid the advice trap...UNless the Lord has very specifically lead you to do so....

    Does that make sense.

I'm making Burritos for dinner..they are a bit spicy..hmm I hope the kids eat!

    Lots of Love, Carla
  • Carla

That's right....The Lord is always teaching each of us something...He is so awesome! If we offer advice, it may go against what the Lord is teaching or guiding that person, and we absolutely may get in the way of what God is wanting to do in and for that person. Another thing I just thought of...When someone is going through a hard time we are so inclined to feel sorry for them and just want to 'pick them up' out of that difficult situation..but it is possibly or even likely part of their sanctification process...We need to step aside....all the while loving them, being with them, but not trying to fix the situation for them... Support and Encouragement...but tough Love! Then we all learn in the process. Doing this will also increase the persons self esteem and encourage them to have a closer relationship with God...or if they don't know the Lord at all...perhaps it may cause them to 'Cry out to Jesus'...even better.

All of this is always with Love...

ps---that's a lot of pork chops :)I'm sure they will all eat when they are home..............my kids actually ate the dinner :) one never can tell! :)

Love in Him...Thanks for your insight! Great thoughts! Carla

Hello my dear...Yes definitely cold...and snowy! :) Right now we have -3... My sister lives in NY...but NYC. So I think that I am actually closer to you then she is.. :)

I would really love to hear what happened whenever you are ready to talk about it. I would be happy to shed some light if I am able....

    Blessings, Carla

Thank you !! Your comment about the God who "is" being different than the one we "want" spoke volumes to me. I also know that I have to surrender my life to HIM over and over and to HIS will for my life.
I tend to be a controller---and HIm and I don't get along with me in the driver's seat.
    Thanks again,

Hi Debbie! i am also praying for God's guidance in my life. Do you like to watch Joyce Meyer? She is a great inspiration to me. I have read her book "Battlefield of the Mind" which was eye opening for me. The idea of a free will is so awesome. God gave us choice. We can choose to Love or to Hate. Choosing Love is to choose life as the Bible tells us. When I found out that I alone was responsible for my happiness my eyes and ears where opened wide. I chose Love. I choose God. I choose life. But, the most amazing thing that God showed me was that God chose me. WOW! God is LOVE. Agape LOVE. Debbie God will be there for you. Trust him. He wants to be in your life. A "Father" to hold you and show you how important you are to him. I love just talking about him. It makes me inspired to share with others my experience. I Love to read to my Grandchildren. They sit on my lap, we read and share about the story and the pictures. This moves my soul every time. That is who i am when I'm with God. A child on his lap reading his story and knowing that I am Loved.
    Thanks Debbie for sharing.

What turns people away from Christianity? Christians. I have noticed that , we as believers, tend to act supirior, know-it-alls. and forget to look at non believers in love the Christ love way, and have fellowship with them and slowly get to know them and bring Christ along, and see were He leads us in this journey of soul catchers.

Hi Deb, I wanted to tell you what a wonderful time I had chatting with you and Bev yesterday. You guys had me laughing so hard. It's so nice to share the laughter and our Love for Jesus together. Your family is so beautiful! God Bless you and your husband. The kids are awesome! Your son races motocross. Cool. My brother-in-law used to race "back in the day". He was like a big brother to me. So I fell in love with Motocross and motorcycles. I pray for God to lift you up Deb. To grant you limitless wisdom. I pray for your Husband. May God grant him the power to listen with patience. I hope we may chat again soon. It was so nice.
May God Bless you and hold you and your family in the palm of his hand.

Greetings from our lord jesus christ.........
there is nothing more important than developing a friendship with God.it is impossible for us to know God without having a deep relationship with him.the more we become God's friend. the more we will care about the things God cares about.jacob's passion for God's blessing on his life was so intense.he wrestled with God all night, saying,i will not let you go unless you bless me.wrestling involves close contact, and it takes time and effort. remember, you are as close to God as you choose to be.thank you.God bless you.
