I really desire to get to know God personally. I have asked Jesus into my heart many years ago but He still seems too far away. I feel alone and lonely so many times. I would like to sense His presence once again.
I'm passionate about...
Learning more about God and wonder why He hasn't answered so many of my prayers and those of my adult kids. I question His goodness many times. (I'm sorry if I offended you but I'm being honest).
My story with God
I try to love God as best I can but I know there must be more to the Christian walk than what I experience. I have been disappointed by HIm far too many times. So many unanswered prayers and unfulfilled dreams and desires even though I have delighted myself in HIM and thought I was doing the right thing.
Other stuff about me:
I just wish God would take better care of HIS kids and protect them from so much pain and agony in this life. I thought HE came to give us the abundant life . Why oh why does this life seem so dismal??
I'm so glad you got back to me. I am still uncertain about what you meant by saying "the spirit of infermity." However, I do think about that woman in the Bible, the one you pointed me to. And I often wonder why Jesus would refuse to heal any one of his flock when he showed so much compassion and healed every sick person he came accross when Jesus walked the earth in representation of God the father. Why would he be less compassionate or more choosy of those he heals now, I wonder. Anyway, I thank you for your lovely response. I hope we both find and receive what we are seeking, and more so what the Lord holds in store for us, as He knows what is best. I know that just because I don't have all the answers does not mean I won't one day find them, or that God intends for me to stay in the darkness. Therefore, I live each day by faith and hope. I will check out Henry Wright, as you suggested. I never heard of him before, but you make him look like someone I should look in to. Thanks so much for your kindness, Joyelle! Visit me again some time. I think we may have much to talk about. God Bless you :)
