greetings in jesus name my dear sister

this is part of my research that i have done while i am standing firm in the lord for a marriage restoration

    BIBLICAL PEACEMAKING
    PRINCIPLES IN RECONCILING BROKEN UNITY

Unity in Christ is broken by sin. Reconciliation of fallen Christians and Christian leaders is every Christians responsibility and yet restoring a sinner to Christ and HIS Church raises earnest questions of spiritual judgment and justice... How do you trust a person's confession? How do you know when there's true repentance? Do tears and brokenness mean Godly sorrow? Are the tears because of the consequences of being caught? Can you restore fallen leaders? Can Biblical counseling make anyone with deeply rooted problems fit to return to leadership? Do some sins disqualify leaders forever?

Understanding God's reconciliation requires understanding God's view of sin, sorrow, contirition, confession, repentance, justice and restoration. Adam's sin made all sinners. Christ emphasized that even the thought of sin qualifies as sin, as well as sinning by deed or lack of action.

To bear another's burdens and seek God's reconciliation, one must include the spiritual condition of the heart as evidenced by outward acts and words.

Sin does not begin with outward acts of disobedience. By the spiritual regeneration of God's Holy Spirit, the regenerated person possesses a need to be in unity with God and fellow believers. Only God fills that inner longing. Man's sinful habits turns to self, searching for love and acceptance. Self devotes control and power to protect its needs not being met. The self strenuously rejects attempts to correct the sinner's favorite sins. The self, then rationalizes Biblical and secular values, beliefs and behavior, while denying unity with God, His truth and His people.

Satan is eager to assist self's deception. Sin heightens self's desires through the guilt and hopelessness of continual sin. The victim increasingly seeks love, with diminishing hope, through intensified creativity to please the self. Sin distorts thinking, beliefs, and behaviors.

Sinful habits are so ingrained that the renewing of a Believer's mind and heart takes great patience and love. Unity is not gained nor does corruption disappear by merely saying-mouthing the words, "I've sinned, please forgive me."

Those with prolonged sin lack the faith that unity with God will meet their needs. They fear giving up their rituals of hopelessness. They cling to a relationship with a god they've created from their own militant ignorance. The Holy Spirit uses the consequences of sin and/or the confrontation of believers to invite repentance. God calls the erring believer, continuing in sin, to return to God through Godly sorrow. A believer distraught by Godly sorrow chooses righteousness, all other sorrows are further deceptions of the hardened heart.

Godly sorrow devotes itself to getting right with God and man. It's eager to be without blame, and is indignant at sin. Godly sorrow alarmed at the consequences of sin desires justice. Godly sorrow leads to confession and repentance (2 Corinthians 7:9-11).

Reconciliation is a biblical concept that addresses fallen man being restored to God, through Christ... "Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, {even} the law of commandments {contained} in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, {so} making peace; [Ephesians 2:15]

The concept of restoring a fallen leader to a former position is specifically addressed by the following examples...

Peter is an example of a New Testament leader who committed sin and responded correctly. Peter taught and practiced the heresy that all Gentile converts were to be circumcised according to Jewish laws (Galatians 2). Paul publicly rebuked Peter. Peter quickly repented from his error. Removal from leadership was unwarranted.

Hymenaeus and Alexander are two examples of teachers who left the faith (1 Timothy 1:3-20, 2 Timothy 2:14-19). Their continued teaching of heresy put them out of the Church. They were turned over to Satan for the destruction of their bodies, to save their souls.

There are many examples of those in leadership positions who continued in their former sinful nature and/or continued to teach false doctrine that brought division in the church. Paul called for these leaders to be put out of the assembly for not repenting and not being reconciled to the Christian Community (2 Thessalonians 3; 1 Corinthians 5).

The good news... James 5:13-20 "...Remember this: Whoever turns a sinner from the error of his way will save him from death and cover over a multitude of sins." Let all Christians be committed to Biblical love through the ministry of reconciliation.

    god bless

    Hey baby girl of Christ,

So appreciative of the encouraging words you sent this morning, I truly needed them. I was just having a bit of a heart to heart with the Lord as to were I should start my meditation of HIM on; and He sent you to give it to me. "Out of the mouths of babes shall come miraculous things".
May God continue to keep HIS purity in your heart, and speed not only the memorization of HIS word to you, but HIS divine interpretation of HIS HOLY scriptures that are in our usage in this current time, and may they never depart from us all. I pray this for us all who seek the oil of life for our lamps of salvation that we may be continuous lights (trimmed, and maintained) in this darken world; and not be put in the position of having to flounder for our oil in the mid night hour (Matthew 25 v.1-12).
When I was married to my husband 20 months ago, this was the theme of our wedding. It was important to me that there be an attempt to share the importance of the gospel to all who attended. Now, I just watch and pray for the Holy Spirit to continue HIS work in us all.
I noticed that you wrote Mim as well, let me tell you not a well known fact about her that many on this site do not know as of yet; she’s me mum, and I happened to notice the note she had sent you in attempts of getting to know you a bit more. So, if you would send that info on to me as well I would appreciate it. All responses I make will be kept to this site only.

    OH,
Thank you for writing me back, and sharing you heart felt testimony. How many children do you have again?? I have only one daughter, and she is 23. She is from my first marriage; but her step- father seems to adore her.
The scriptures you sent yesterday I plan to use as my study guide for a few days, and I will attempt to put them to memorization. I was deeply moved by them. I feel the need to quite my self for a bit, and here the Holy Spirits voice again. To my chagrin it has been awhile for me.
Any who, I now been motivated, and it is partly due to the message you sent out to so many of us. Stay encouraged sharing the word; you may never know to what depth you are touching a heart.

greeings in jesus name my dear sister

i thought i should post you this email i recieved,i get these emails from www.rejoicemarriageministries.com,god has directed me to rejoice marriage ministries in march when i was doing my research gosh this site is powerful

    "TAKE MY PAIN AWAY!" -

"The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saved those who are
    crushed in spirit." Psalm 34:18

"My heart feels like it is breaking in two. I hurt so badly! I
feel like I am going to die due to the pain in my heart. When
does the pain leave?" This is a statement that Bob and I hear
every day in letters and email. Do you understand your pain? We
want you to know that the pain you are feeling is because you are
one-flesh with your spouse. Your spouse is trying to separate,
tear apart, rip apart, what God has joined together for life.
That is why you are hurting. It is similar to the pain when a
spouse loses their husband or wife to death.

"For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be
united to his wife, and they will become one flesh."
    Genesis 2:24

"So they are no longer two, but one. Therefore what God has
joined together, let man not separate." Matthew 19:6

Today, open your eyes and ears to the message that your Lord is
speaking to your heart. I remember the pain that you are going
through as if it was yesterday. Sometimes pain is necessary to
get your attention. Many people today do not respond to biblical
truths or seek the Lord until they experience pain. Do you have
a strong personal relationship with your Lord daily? Are you
praying, listening to the Lord for His truths, or are you only
turning to Him when you are hurting, asking Him for help? Are
    you
willing to allow your Lord to change you to become the spouse,
parent and Christian that you need to be for the Lord and for
    your beloved husband or wife?

"The righteous cry out, and the LORD hears them; he delivers
them from all their troubles." Psalm 34:17

As you go through your suffering or pain, remember that your Lord
hears and sees your pain, your tears and He wants to heal your
emotional pain and trauma. Know that the Holy Spirit can heal
your broken heart and crushed spirit. Your spirit has been
wounded by the enemy's tricks and schemes of marriage problems,
separation or divorce. Satan has used hurtful words to cause
emotional pain and suffering that needs to be healed, but your
    Lord God can heal you.

"...He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim
freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the
prisoners, to proclaim the year of the LORD's favor and the day
of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn, and provide
for those who grieve in Zion— to bestow on them a crown of beauty
instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, and a
garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair." Isaiah 61:1-3

Right now, cry out to the Lord waiting and expecting His presence
to come and minister healing to your wounded heart and crushed
spirit. Let me share a powerful scripture for you to stand on:

"He heals the brokenhearted and bind up their wounds." Psalm
    147:3

Nothing is too hard for your Lord to do for you as you go through
this difficult time in your marriage. Stand on the promises of
    God.

Let the Holy Spirit heal your broken heart and crushed spirit,
today. Allow the Holy Spirit to remove the spirit of
heaviness, despair, depression or oppression. Your Lord can
remove all your pain, any unforgiveness, bitterness and even
anger. The greatest Counselor, the Lord can speak to you
privately and remove all your hurts and pain. Let Him give you a
crown of beauty, the oil of gladness and a garment of praise.
Let the Lord put on you His robe of righteousness and as you
would cover your child in bed, allow the Lord to cover you with
all His unfailing love to remove all your hurts and pain.

I surrendered my body, soul and spirit to the Lord's way in our
marriage and asked the Lord to pour into me His unconditional
love and the spirit of forgiveness. He died for you and loves
you so very much and He has never left your side. The Lord wants
the best for you, your husband or wife, your marriage and for
    your family.

"He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the
    weak." Isaiah 40:29

"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will
    give you rest." Matthew 11:28

Was it worth the pain that I went through? A million times over
again, Yes! Bob wrote his first book, "Prodigals Do Come Home"
because he saw someone who was hurting, going through divorce.
He wanted to give him something to give him hope and
encouragement. Bob knew at that time two years after our
remarriage that our Lord God had the answer for marriage problems
or divorce. Bob knew that His Lord could heal wounded hearts and
heal impossible marriages like ours or yours.

May you never forget that you serve a risen Savior who shed His
Blood and defeated satan. You and I need to know who we are in
Christ and walk in victory. God created the Heavens and the
earth and called the stars by name.

"Great is our LORD and mighty in power; his understanding has
no limit...the LORD delights in those who fear him, who put
their hope in his unfailing love." Psalm 147:5,11

Bob and I are a living testimony that God can touch and change
hardened hearts. Our Lord God is greater than any addiction or
sin. May you start praising the Lord today, as the Lord will
heal your broken and wounded heart as well as heal, restore and
rebuild your marriage if only you will believe in God's mighty
    power!

"Delight yourself in the LORD and he will give you the desires
of your heart. Commit your way to the LORD; trust in him and he
    will do this." Psalm 37:4-5

    god bless

    THE ENEMY’S STRATEGY
Do you know how satan deceive the children of God?
Here are just some of his scheme that he use to
christian community. You can see how clever satan is
and christian must be aware of satan's schemes and
cleverness. be aware of it. You might already been a
victim of satan's scheme. Be on guard always! Learn
his schemes for you not to be caught unaware.

Satan called a worldwide convention of demons.
In his opening address he said,

"We can't keep Christians from going to church."

"We can't keep them from reading their Bibles and
    knowing the truth."

"We can't even keep them from forming an intimate
    relationship with their saviour."

"Once they gain that connection with Jesus, our
    power over them is broken."

"So let them go to their churches; let them have
their covered dish dinners, BUT steal their time, so
they don't have time to develop a relationship with
    Jesus Christ.."

"This is what I want you to do," said the devil:

"Distract them from gaining hold of their Saviour
and maintaining that vital connection throughout
    their day!"

"How shall we do this?" his demons shouted.

"Keep them busy in the non-essentials of life and
invent innumerable schemes to occupy their minds,"
    he answered.

"Tempt them to spend, spend, spend, and borrow,
    borrow, borrow."

"Persuade the wives to go to work for long hours and
the husbands to work 6-7 days each week, 10-12 hours
a day, so they can afford their empty lifestyles."

"Keep them from spending time with their children."

"As their families fragment, soon, their homes will
offer no escape from the pressures of work!"

"Over-stimulate their minds so that they cannot hear
    that still, small voice."

"Entice them to play the radio or cassette player
whenever they drive." To keep the TV, VCR, CDs and
their PCs going constantly in their home and see to
it that every store and restaurant in the world
    plays non-biblical music constantly."

"This will jam their minds and break that union with
    Christ."

"Fill the coffee tables with magazines and
    newspapers."

"Pound their minds with the news 24 hours a day."

"Invade their driving moments with billboards."

"Flood their mailboxes with junk mail, mail order
catalogs, sweepstakes, and every kind of newsletter
and promotional offering free products, services and
    false hopes.."

"Keep skinny, beautiful models on the magazines and
TV so their husbands will believe that outward
beauty is what's important, and they'll become
    dissatisfied with their wives. "

"Keep the wives too tired to love their husbands at
    night."

    "Give them headaches too! "

"If they don't give their husbands the love they
need, they will begin to look elsewhere."

"That will fragment their families quickly!"

"Give them Santa Claus to distract them from
teaching their children the real meaning of
    Christmas."

"Give them an Easter bunny so they won't talk about
his resurrection and power over sin and death."

"Even in their recreation, let them be excessive."

"Have them return from their recreation exhausted."

"Keep them too busy to go out in nature and reflect
on God's creation. Send them to amusement parks,
sporting events, plays, concerts, and movies
    instead."

    "Keep them busy, busy, busy!"

"And when they meet for spiritual fellowship,
involve them in gossip and small talk so that they
    leave with troubled consciences."

"Crowd their lives with so many good causes they
have no time to seek power from Jesus."

"Soon they will be working in their own strength,
sacrificing their health and family for the good of
    the cause."

    "It will work!"

    "It will work!"

    It was quite a plan!

The demons went eagerly to their assignments causing
Christians everywhere to get busier and more rushed,
    going here and there.

Having little time for their God or their families.

Having no time to tell others about the power of
    Jesus to change lives.

I guess the question is, has the devil been
    successful in his schemes?

    You be the judge!!!!!
    Does "BUSY" mean: B-eing U-nder S-atan's Y-oke?

    Topic: Christian Living/Situational, Sin/Temptation, Evil
    Satan's Lies
If Satan lacks anything, it's imagination. It's not that he hasn't developed an extensive bag of tricks to use on us, but he uses the same tricks over and over. Why? Because he knows they work. So, if we want to stand firm against Satan's attacks, we need to be alert and prepared.
    What Does God Say?
Let's take a look at one of the enemy's most successful tactics--getting us to doubt God by twisting the Lord's words or coloring their meaning.
Genesis 2:15-17 tells us, "The LORD God took the man and put him in the garden of Eden to work it and keep it. And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, 'You may surely eat of every tree of the garden, but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die'" (ESV).
Now, look carefully at how the evil one twists things around in Genesis 3: "Now the serpent was more crafty than any other beast of the field that the LORD God had made.
"He said to the woman, 'Did God actually say, "You shall not eat of any tree in the garden'"? And the woman said to the serpent, 'We may eat of the fruit of the trees in the garden, but God said, "You shall not eat of the fruit of the tree that is in the midst of the garden, neither shall you touch it, lest you die."' But the serpent said to the woman, 'You will not surely die. For God knows that when you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil'" (Genesis 3:1-5, ESV).
    • How does Satan's first question compare to what God really said?
    • How does Eve's reply fit what God said?
    • According to Satan, what is God's motive for keeping Adam and Eve from the tree?
    Thoughts
    • If you've ever doubted God--doubted that what He said in His Word is what He meant, or that He cares about you like the Bible says, then you will recognize this tactic--one of Satan's favorites. So, what can you do? How can you prepare yourself for Satan's schemes?
First, be alert to this subtle tactic. Remember what Jesus tells us about Satan in John 8:44: "He was a murderer from the beginning, and has nothing to do with the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks out of his own character, for he is a liar and the father of lies." (ESV)
    • What lies have you believed?
    • When have you been prompted to question the truth about God or Jesus Christ?
    • What did you do about it?
These lies won't come directly from the mouth of a serpent as in Genesis 3 but you may hear them from a friend, a co-worker, a teacher. You might read them or see them on TV. The enemy is crafty and subtle, not stupid.
Secondly, be prepared. The only way to fight lies is with the truth. In turning away from the lies and evil (Job 1:1), you need to turn to something else: fearing God and embracing the truth. Jesus is the truth (John 14:6); and He said to all who believe, "If you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples, and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free" (John 8:31-32, ESV).
Tapping into the truth so you can stand up to Satan's lies takes time and effort. That's why in John 8, Jesus uses the word "abide." It means we settle down to live deeply in God's Word; that we know it inside and out and trust God to be exactly what He is: truthful, faithful, good, just, merciful, etc. The more familiar we are with the truth, the stronger we are against Satan's lies.
Jesus gives us an excellent model in Luke 4:1-13 when he is tempted by Satan. Take a few minutes to look at how Satan attacks. What does Jesus do in response? What should your response be when you're tempted? What will you need to do to be prepared this way? Start by using Psalm 119:11 as a reminder to embrace the truth and reject Satan's lies.

  • Yuri

    Hello Kathleen,
Thanks so much for this message, my granny used to say that eating together keeps the family together. Indeed the devil's plan is clever and not bad at all, I have seen families destroyed by many of these issues. Just last week I was coaching a couple in their divorce, and the reasons were that they were soooo busy they forgot to talk (even about themselves), they were tired, too busy, in a hurry, etc... Result: she found someone that was more available to listen to her and notice her new hair style :-(
As a christian and a coach, I do my best to keep family together. I always ask people when was the last time they shared popcorns in a movie, or sat to listen what the children had to say, or just notice each other.
Unfortunately, people seek first 'worlds things' and not God's wisdom.
It hurts badly when they come to me after things are really bad, and not when they feel something is not right, but the devil also makes us proud and stubbern, not willing to accept our mistakes.
We need to pray more for families, for sharing time and the old good laugh for nothing special.
Thanks again for this message, I will forward it to my friends.
    Blessings,

Blessings to You my dear friend and Sister...I hope you are having a beautiful day! I look forward to getting to know you so much more! Thanks again for the beautiful prayer and "eye opening" story! Did you write those, yourself? If so, perhaps you and I should consider writing a book "together"! Let me know!
    Take Care!
