Hey all. First of all. Merry Joyous blessed Christmas to you.
LT said I could try creating a place for general chit-chat and fellowship....as an alternative to 'yet uncategorized'. One thing that has been on my mind lately are 2 barely noticable verses in John 1: 12 "But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: 13 who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God." This is way too deep for me. Is this 'who we are' the moment we believe?

Well, I am somewhat 'torn' about sticking around. Some of this stuff still confuses me: Whether it is good to be 'snatched-up', or spend 1,ooo years on earth with Jesus. I really don't know if we will have a choice, but what Jesus chooses for me is OK. These are things that are certainly on a lot of peoples mind...whether they believe in the Lord or not......seems everybody believes 'something' is going to happen soon. Well....I ended up just taking a nice long walk with doggie-doo. Did not really have much opportunity to even talk to anyone. Where I live, there is a fairly new delta at the mouth of the river from a few floods we have had on the river. It is more than 30 acres and takes about 1 hr to walk the beach perimiter if you are strolling casually. It has got to be the best place on earth to walk a dog, a real adventure land.

By the by.... the answers for John 1:13 = " not of blood".... these are children of Christian parents who are not automatically Christians because their parents are...they must make their own decision for Christ.
"nor of the will of the flesh".......those with just wishful thinking and no commitment, possibly purchasing their way into a church, or just being friends of a pastor..... they just want to be thought as a Christian without coming to Christ with no baptism, no Holy Spirit, etc.
" nor the will of man"......somebody who wants to work their way to heaven
without the Grace of God.....they want to make their own rules.
So congrats on the new group.... and Grace and Peace.
