What I know about operating in the Spirit
You must be humble. You must operate in Faith and be obedient to the Leading of the Spirit. The Spirit does speak and you must learn to hear. The Spirit started me off slowly, yet as I yielded I received a Boldness from the Spirit. When sharing such things as these, some want to dismiss you as prideful. However, this will hinder you when operating in the Spirit. When told to share a Word with another, you need the Boldness from the Spirit. To operate we must surrender to His Will and humble ours.
Acts 8:16-17 16 The Holy Spirit had not yet come upon any of them, for they had only been baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. 17 Then Peter and John laid their hands upon these believers, and they received the Holy Spirit.
Acts 19 4-7 4 Paul said, “John’s baptism called for repentance from sin. But John himself told the people to believe in the one who would come later, meaning Jesus.” 5 As soon as they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. 6 Then when Paul laid his hands on them, the Holy Spirit came on them, and they spoke in other tongues and prophesied. 7 There were about twelve men in all.
I am sharing these verses because this is how I received the Baptism of the Holy Ghost. Maybe you have has a different experience. If so please share. I have seen where religion has hindered the Spirit. Some say you Must do This, or That has passed away. People have allowed pride and or fear to limit how the Spirit operates in their lives. This is Not about only ONE of the many Gifts of the Spirit. I believe there are some who are feeling the pull of the Spirit. Are there any who want to share their experiences? Are there any who have questions not debates, on how to flow in the Spirit? I do not claim to have all the answers. Yet, together and through the Word I believe we will discover what the Spirit wants us to know. My desire is not to debate if, but to discuss how we live a Spirit Filled life.

Speaking in tongues, prophesy, speaking Words of Wisdom, and Knowledge are basically operating the same way. One simply humbles themselves applies Faith, and allows the Holy Spirit to lead them. In many ways the results are the same. We Glorify the Lord, edify ourselves and others. We allow the Holy Ghost to flow through us. And, God's Will is done.

Gal 5:22-23 But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against these things!
Rom 8:5 ...but those who are controlled by the Holy Spirit think about things that please the Spirit.
Col 3:12 Since God chose you to be the Holy people He Loves, you must clothe yourselves with tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience.
As we surrender our wills and seek the things that please the Spirit, we will see the Fruit produced by the Holy Ghost in our lives. We see in Colossians what we must put on our “new man.” We all have clothing that we wear, that makes a statement we desire others to see. A certain pair of pants, a shirt, and even a hat, that speaks to others without our voice. Others see His Loves through us, as they see these things. -

I thought I had shared this some where already. If I had then blame it on my memory, (or lack of).
Some say they do not hear the Spirit. Is that you? No matter where you stand on that point, we are Promised the ability to know the direction we need to take. My second question is, what is the Gift Jesus speaks of in John? And, how do you follow the Peace that is spoken of here? Is there a sense, a voice, or are they the same?
Phil 4:6-7 .6 Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank Him for all He has done. 7 Then you will experience God’s Peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.
2Thess 2:16 Now may the Lord of peace Himself give you His Peace at all times and in every situation. The Lord be with you all.
John 14:27 “I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the Peace I give is a Gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid.”
Col 3:12-15 12 Since God chose you to be the holy people he loves, you must clothe yourselves with tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. 13 Make allowance for each other’s faults, and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others. 14 Above all, clothe yourselves with love, which binds us all together in perfect harmony. 15 And let the Peace that comes from Christ rule in your hearts. For as members of One Body you are called to live in Peace. And always be Thankful.

Hi Chris Great post great opportunity to see how The Spirit is operting in each of lives and I believe despite ourselves the Spirit works in all of us.
Having said this should explain. I have found when I have an attitude of thankfulness, forgiveness and an expectance I hear The Spirit more readily. I understand His guidance. I find my actions my conversations and the results of these actions conversations to more pleasing (fruitful).
of course there are those times when I think where did He go Why is He not speaking. In those times I have realize my attitude has stunk. I am holding on to something. Something that is stopping me from hearing. Yet when I reflect on those occassions I see how The Spirit guided me and brought out of whatever had hold of me.
Just for this fact in my life and for the fact of my salvation I believe The Spirit works in everyone.
Praise Our Heavenly Father for His mighty works and gifts- The Holy Spirit!!!!!!!

I do not have the gift of speaking in tongues but I acknowledge what the Holy Spirit does in my life. Sometimes the Spirit leads me to places where I am able to help in certain situations. It makes me bold to say or do things I normally cannot do on my own. For this reason I know the Holy Spirit operates in all those who receive Him and work through and in them.
I believe in the words in Phil 4:6-7 as they are. I don't need to analyse anything. It is straight forward and what is says is the truth because God's Word is truth. This scripture gives strength and hope in times of troubles and the world's trials. I often depend on this scripture when life's trials overwhelm me.
Come Holy Spirit, we need You! Come into our hearts and make us whole so that we may rejoice in You.

Do you know anybody who operates in the Gifts of the Spirit? Do they at your Church?
You are always lifting up others with the Word of God. You are standing on that Word. Speaking in Tongues is but just one of some many ways the Spirit edifies us and others. In the ways you lift up people, you are edifying them. This shows His Love flowing through you. Your pure desire to seek Holy Ghost, and Praise God. It sounds like you are Spirit Filled. I am going to answer your post, will share later.
