This group came to be through a discussion about the Holy Spirit. As the discussion went on, it became clear that LT and I both believe there is a real need to share about the Holy Spirit. As many of you know I am a simple man, who knows little about a great deal. As LT and I shared with each other, I believe we were both lead by the Holy Ghost to start this group. LT told me I would need to lead this group. I needed help with the first group I started, and Liz helped me. As it was with this one, LT wrote the description and also had this beautiful picture. ... seeking to understand what it means to be filled with the Holy Spirit.
... sharing our experiences of being filled.
... understanding operating in the Holy Spirit and spiritual Gifts.
... giving opportunity for individuals to ask about this important topic of walking in the Spirit.
Our goal is to edify and build up the body of Christ. We will not be discussing the "Evidence Doctrine." A discussion on this doctrine tends to divide rather than build up.

"Evidence Doctrine" I would like to explain for any who might not know what this means. When I first was Baptised in the Spirit, part of that was on the Azusa St. Revival. There was a phrase that many still hold to, “Baptised in the Spirit, with the evidence of Speaking in Tongues.” Although I spoke in Tongues from the very beginning, I did not understand why some held to this so strongly. I have even seen some “lord it over” others, in the attempt to control or for whatever reason. For some what is clear, that does not means it is for others. As we operate in Love and only desire to edify one another, then we should not tear down those we want to build up. The Holy Spirit helps us all to build on the Foundation, 1Cor 3:11 For no one can lay any foundation other than the one we already have—Jesus Christ. The Spirit shows and leads a person on their path, we are there to encourage and help as the Spirit also leads us on our path.

This does not mean “Speaking in Tongues” is off limits. It will be a topic. As well as, all the ways we operate in the Spirit. I believe we are about to or already have begun, to see another wave of the Spirit. We are the Body; the Bride of Christ, and we must grow and work together as One. He Is Coming Soon and We Will Be Ready. To Jesus belongs the Glory. We are here to answer the Call and respond to a need, the Holy Spirit has placed in us to fulfil the Will of the Father.

Another thing I would like to share.  I believe those who are called of God, all the things that have happened in their lives, have brought them where they are.  So to all those who are here, it is not by mistake it is by His Plan.  We have the tools that are forged from the experiences we go through.  Another needs help and these tools will help them.  We Pray...His Will be Done...let it be so and that we are able to also rest in His Peace.

   As I have been Praying for you about these things, a few things I would like to ask/share.  You share,            " KNOW I'm in His will."  I would not underestimate this gift.  So many do not think they hear God, I believe you when you tell me you Do.  Having been/still am (for different things) in that place of waiting.  I have learned over time, part of waiting is to build up Trust.  Having ADHD this part is difficult, but another part is to learn to Patience.  Something that has helped me when I knew I needed to wait, was why.  I know we share that, as from things you have shared with me.  When I first learned that part of my waiting, was to gain some of the benefits of waiting.  At first I might of needed to remember the song, "A spoonful of sugar..."    Gal 5:22-23  22 But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against these things!  I might not always like how this fruit is produced.  We might not like to wait, yet the truth is we gain this fruit, patience included more by faith and trust then by waiting.  We must always believe, He Loves us and wanting only the best for us.  And, He knows the best way for us to not only gain what we need, but how to hold on to those things.  

When I learned what Rom 8:5 Those who are dominated by the sinful nature think about sinful things, but those who are controlled by the Holy Spirit think about things that please the Spirit, means it helped me a lot.  For me to learn to focus on the things that please God, and not myself helped.  When I no longer allowed my flesh to make a big deal about, all I was giving up to follow God, it helped.  To be clear I still have things to work on.  But when I feel my flesh trying to make a big deal of what it is giving up, my spirit sings of what I am gaining.
