All About GOD - Growing Relationships with Jesus and Others

There are several different views being posted on the blog list regarding the Rapture and what truly happens.
I have always been taught that Christ will come for the church and rapture his people before the tribulation period begins. Once that we are ruptured, then the 7 year period of the anti-christ will begin.
The first three and half years he will perpetrate a fake peace in the world, the last three and half years will be the worst period that man kind will see. There are some that believe that we will live through the tribulation for the first half, then Christ will come and rescue us before the last three and half years.
I think that the bible refers to this time as the "Time of Jacob's Trouble"
This is what is the theory that I was taught

AWESOME explanation ...very easy to follow......and I believe very true

So many do not.....and I think to many churches teach mans way or do not teach anything at all
We very rarely hear about Hell Fire and damnation anymore........it has all become a "feel good" type of teaching
and this is where it has led us.......

Knowing the Lord is not about "feelings" it is about TRUTH....plain simple TRUTH which has been twisted to become so difficult to understand any longer
We will not be taken out........what would be the point.....as you have said
What is the point of learning all about the Lord if we are just going to be taken with HIM.....why bother.if you belong to HIM....why get stronger in the WORD of GOD?

People are being persecuted all over the world right now.........and this is nothing compared to what it will be like soon I believe......there will be a very rude awaking to many and I believe that many will fall away because they never really belonged in their heart..........the pretenders will be all around...........and they will deliver you up.......love them now and help them to know the Lord.......not just the man that will save them from the wrath of God......but the one that will save them from everything.........the man that died for my sins.........because He loved me that much..........and He loves others just the same.............I believe that when the Rapture takes place....there will be many that will want to change their minds.........but then it will be to late.......that is why we need to get stronger for what is coming and if we should happen to die before it happens.......then we get to go HOME.........which is where I would like to be now.......but for some reason.....i am still here..........(something I must do).........

Love to all of you in Jesus

sorry if I ramble.....I tend to do so.......
Hello DeeDee and Everyone else..

I just wanted to add my two cents....for what it is worth..
I support the pre-trib rapture theory.. I believe it is crucial that we keep our eyes on Christ for ALL things. For people who do not support the pre-trib rapture theory.. it seems they are keeping their eyes on the lookout for Anti-Christ...

I'm looking for Jesus! The pre-trib rapture theory is the most biblically sound approach.

I see that you have read some of Tim LaHaye's books... I also recommend his one called 'The Rapture'.. scripturally sound!

Blessings, Carla
Hey Carla,

I myself believe in the pre-trib rapture theory. I have read about what will go on during the rapture and I know that God will remove his holy spirit from the earth. Why would God leave his people down here to suffer the rapture? God promises to save his people from the wrath that is to come once the anti-christ comes into power.
I have read a lot of books by Tim Lahaye, but I haven't read the "The Rapture" yet. I also have read Hal Lindsey and watch Pastor John Hagee on T.V.
There is so much information to support the pre-trib rapture theory. I have been reading through the book of revelations and studying it. I am going to continue to study this subject and the book of Revelations and ask God to reveal what it is he wants me to learn from it and whatever he wants me to know. I know that God knows the truth. The book of Revelations makes it clear that Jesus will set up his kingdom here on this earth. In I Thessalonians, Paul tells us that Jesus will come for us in the twinkling of an eye. In the book of Revelations, John tells us that Jesus comes a second time, this time for good to set up his kingdom. That in itself tells me that Jesus raptures his church before the 7 year tribulation period. Revelations talk about the 144000 witnesses that will win souls to Christ during this time as well. From my understanding, the book of Revelations is God's final warning to those who reject Jesus Christ as their savior. He gives them time to accept Jesus so they will not burn in hell.
I know many people who do not believe this theory. They also don't believe that one man will rule the world and that a mark will be mandatory in order to live. I talk with another lady who is a christian and she is taught something totally different. She believes that the whole book of Revelations is symbolic and none of it is to be taken literally.
The main thing is, Jesus promised us that he will return for us. And since he promised it, I know that he will!
Hi Dee and everyone!

I'm praying over these different opinions presented here. There will always be human interpertation...the truth is, no one knows the hour or the day. (Mark 13:32)

I hold to the pre-trib theory, One of the reasons I hold to it, is because the timing of it is the most uncertain... mid-trib and post-trib theories seem to have the timing more accurately pinpointed...but according to Mark 13:32..no one knows the hour or the day....
but who says I'm right...really it's my own opinion from what I have read.

I want Christ...fully...just Him! It's tiring and confusing sometimes to go through these opinions. My concern is that the differing of opinions could become divisive. I urge us all to discuss these things in the Spirit of reconciliation..rather than just wanting to be right.

When we discuss these things..Let us discuss them in such a way that is Christ honoring...realizing that each opinion is human interpretation.

God is not the author of confusion.

Let us talk about Christ and Him crucified..He rose again defeating death....going before us to sit at the right hand of the Father interceding for us. One day He'll bring us home! Let's keep our eyes on Jesus.

Pro 3:5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart And do not lean on your own understanding.
Pro 3:6 In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He will make your paths straight

Jesus prayed for us:
Jhn 17:20 "I am praying not only for these disciples but also for all who will ever believe in me because of their testimony.
Jhn 17:21 My prayer for all of them is that they will be one, just as you and I are one, Father--that just as you are in me and I am in you, so they will be in us, and the world will believe you sent me.
Jhn 17:22 "I have given them the glory you gave me, so that they may be one, as we are--
Jhn 17:23 I in them and you in me, all being perfected into one. Then the world will know that you sent me and will understand that you love them as much as you love me.
Jhn 17:24 Father, I want these whom you've given me to be with me, so they can see my glory. You gave me the glory because you loved me even before the world began!
Jhn 17:25 "O righteous Father, the world doesn't know you, but I do; and these disciples know you sent me.
Jhn 17:26 And I have revealed you to them and will keep on revealing you. I will do this so that your love for me may be in them and I in them."

Come Quickly Lord Jesus Come...
I agree with you Carla... none of us know the times except the God the father himself. We can only speculate and confuse ourselves even more.
We all are in agreement with one factor, that Jesus is going to come for us. The most important thing is to make sure we are ready when he do come.

Much Love,
dee
