What did Jesus Say About Worry?

Matthew 6:25-27  “Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing?  Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? And which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his span of life?

Matthew 6:34  “Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.

Matthew 11:28-30  Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”

Hi Sister Nancy,

Excellent collection of Bible verses and right-on quotes you have listed here pertaining to people who have worries of one kind or another.

Also interesting......... at this time, I'm only the second person to view your post........and it's been here almost all day at this point.

Maybe there's not very many folks with problems right now..............d'ya think...?

Or maybe lotta folks are real familiar with these....maybe even got 'em memorized?

It seems that postings and threads pertaining to Bible application here at AAG are not near as popular as subjects like devils & demons,

people describing their worries, secular issues, and so forth.

My thought is..... Christians don't dig into their Bibles.... like sports fans know sports data....movie fans can quote lines from films..... internet geeks (don't get me started).......peole pursuing hobbies........etc.etc.etc..

Wonder how many Christians have read the Bible in it's entirety at one time or another...........

I know there will be a lot of folks disagreeing with my thoughts.....and that's o.k..

I'd be nice to hear from them...........only trouble is -  not going to be very many readers here..........

Anyway, thanks for your post, Sis.

Grace and Peace.
