All About GOD - Growing Relationships with Jesus and Others

MEMORY VERSE: Then said he unto me, Fear not, Daniel: for from the first day that thou didst set thine heart to understand, and to chasten thyself before thy God, thy words were heard, and I am come for thy words (Daniel 10:12).

You've been praying about something very important and the answer has not come. You wonder if you're getting through. Sometimes it seems you're writing your words on the ceiling. You're afraid God doesn't hear your prayers.

Fear not.

The Prophet Daniel evidently had a similar experience. The answer to his prayer was delayed for 21 days. He must have wondered why God did not answer. Finally the heavenly messenger let him know that his prayer had been heard and that all the time Daniel had been waiting and wondering, the answer had been on its way.

We need never doubt that God hears the prayers of His children. Though there may be delays, we can depend on His faithfulness. Often the answer is on the way but the timing of God demands patience. God is always on time.

The outstanding characteristics of the great New England preacher Phillip Brooks were poise and imperturbability. His close friends, however, knew that, at times, he suffered from impatience and irritability. One day a friend saw him pacing the floor like a caged lion. "What is the trouble, Dr. Brooks?" asked the friend. "The trouble," said Brooks, "is that I'm in a hurry and God isn't."

Take your burdens to the Lord and don't be afraid anymore. He hears and He will answer...right on time!

"The trouble," said Brooks, "is that I'm in a hurry and God isn't." - So So true. A lot of times that answer is also no.
