All About GOD

All About GOD - Growing Relationships with Jesus and Others

MEMORY VERSE: And the LORD said unto him, Who hath made man's mouth? or who maketh the dumb, or deaf, or the seeing, or the blind? have not I the LORD? (Exodus 4: l1 ).

Moses wanted his people to be delivered from bondage, but when he was called to be the deliverer, he began to make excuses: "I am slow of speech, and of a slow tongue," he complained.

Many are like him!

They want the community evangelized -- as long as they do not have to go to their neighbors with the gospel.

They long for the church to be filled each Sunday -- as long as the pastor doesn't call on them to get involved in the visitation program.

They are in favor of revival in the land -- as long as they do not have to give up their favorite sins.

They cry for a return of prayer and Bible reading to the classrooms of the land -- but do not take time to read the Bible to their families.

They talk of the importance of missionary giving and complain because other churches have larger missionary budgets than their own -- but they do not dare trust God for the future and selfishly hold back their own money rather than investing it in reaching the lost for Christ.

God had an answer for reluctant Moses. Now therefore go, and I will be with thy mouth, and teach thee what thou shalt say (Exodus 4:12). Moses obeyed and became part of the great miracle of the deliverance of his people. He was there to see the plagues fall on Egypt. He raised his rod and the Red Sea opened. He saw water flow from a rock and witnessed the feeding of his people with manna from heaven.

Because Moses obeyed God he witnessed the power of God in his life. Put away your excuses. God will use you today!
