How do you fully let go of anger from someone who has hurt you?
I am tempted to join in this discussion because of my personal experience. Its bad enough to find out your partner is cheating on you but worse if the person he is involved with is someone you call your best friend. When my friend had her baby I was overjoyed, little did I know that the baby was for my husband. People I know tried to draw my attention to this affair but I was blinded by our friendship. I only discovered this when she came to my home claiming she needed to discuss something with my husband. I blammed myself for leaving them alone in my house. When I caught them bedding each other, I was so shocked I couldn't speak. What kept me going was the word of God. It was a turning point in my life, I thought I would die but I thank the Lord that this incident started a love relation between me and my God. Apart from this person being my friend we were and still are colleagues. I realised it was humanly impossible for me to forgive her but by His grace, I have forgiven her. I am no longer so close to her for I am afraid she might revive this affair. I am sharing this with the hope that you would come to an understanding that it is possible to forgive anyone by the Grace of God. I have forgiven my spouse because I know he is human and we are still together and will always be until the Lord part us.
Dear sister, betrayal is very painful but I always ask myself how many times I have betrayed my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, yet He still loves me. You will be fine if you allow the Lord to take control of the sistuation. The words in Philippians 4:6-7 has always been my consolation. Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your request be known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ. Trust in the Lord and with time you will find peace.
Although its been 6 years I am not completely healed but I know I am healing fast. God bless you!

And Jesus forgives us, wow.
Aor me, it took years to forgive my ex. But two years ago, I made a choice to follow God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, and I went to forgive everyone. It was a cleansing moment. The bible says there is a time to heal.

After the endless number of articles I have read seeking a way I can forgive someone who has caused me pain, anger and resentment the last 10 years and will most likely continue to do so, this one line of yours opened my eyes...
I always ask myself how many times I have betrayed my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, yet He still loves me.

Brad, I'm glad to know that all is well with you and by God's grace you two are an item. I believe that God made our lives so simple but we always complicate things for ourselves and for each other. God's love is not selfish love. He gave it to us that we may enjoy it to the fullest. He went as far as sacrificing the life of His ONLY Son to a disgraceful death on the cross for us all. When God's love abounds in you, you hear His voice when He intervenes. You needed His intervention and He gave it to you. In everything, give thanks for being able to withstand the test. I'm sure you are stronger now in your faith than ever. Continue to trust Him and always be patient in your dealings with all you meet and be blessed in whatever you do. Thanks for your friendship.
