All About GOD

All About GOD - Growing Relationships with Jesus and Others

FROM THE WORD OF THE LIVING GOD – THE BIBLE!

LORD JESUS CHRIST said:
“Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the body is weak.”
- Matthew 26 : 41
“Therefore keep watch,… understand this: If the owner of the house had known at what time of night the thief was coming, he would have kept watch and would not have let his house be broken into. So you also must be ready…”
- Mathew 24 : 43 - 44
“Watch out that no one deceives you. For many will come in MY NAME, claiming,
‘I am the CHRIST (MESSIAH),’ and will deceive many.”
– Matthew 24 : 4
“false CHRISTS and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and miracles to deceive even the elect – if that were possible. See I have told you ahead of time.”
- Matthew 24 : 24 - 25
“…many will turn away from The Faith and will betray and hate each other,
and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people.”
– Matthew 24 : 10, 11
“the love of most will grow cold, but he who stands firm to the end will be saved.”
– Matthew 24 : 13
"I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world."
– John 16 : 33
"MY Grace is sufficient for you..."
– 2 Corinthians 12 : 9

Grow in the Grace and Knowledge of our LORD and SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST.
- 2 Peter 3 : 18
GOD opposes the proud but gives Grace to the humble.
– 1 Peter 5 : 5; James 4 : 6; Proverbs 3 : 34
The LORD detests all the proud of the heart. Be sure of this: They will not go unpunished.
- Proverbs 16 : 5
Be self controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for
someone to devour.
Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that your brothers throughout the world are
undergoing the same kind of sufferings.
- 1 Peter 5 : 8 - 9

Many deceivers, who do not acknowledge JESUS CHRIST as coming in the flesh, have gone out into the
world. Any such person is the deceiver and the antichrist.
– 2 John 7
…false apostles, deceitful workmen, masquerading as apostles of CHRIST. And no wonder, for satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. It is not surprising, then, if his servants masquerade as servants of righteousness. Their end will be what their actions deserve.
– 2 Corinthians 11 : 13 - 15

Warnings From Israel's History

For I do not want you to be ignorant of the fact, brothers, that our forefathers were all under the cloud and that they all passed through the sea. They were all baptized into Moses in the cloud and in the sea. They all ate the same Spiritual food and drank the same spiritual drink; for they drank from the SPIRITUAL ROCK THAT accompanied them, and THAT ROCK was CHRIST. Nevertheless, GOD was not pleased with most of them; their bodies were scattered over the desert.
Now these things occurred as examples to keep us from setting our hearts on evil things as they did. Do not be idolaters, as some of them were; as it is written: "The people sat down to eat and drink and got up to indulge in pagan revelry." We should not commit sexual immorality, as some of them did—and in one day twenty-three thousand of them died. We should not test the LORD, as some of them did—and were killed by snakes. And do not grumble, as some of them did—and were killed by the destroying angel.
These things happened to them as examples and were written down as warnings for us, on whom the fulfillment of the ages has come. So, if you think you are standing firm, be careful that you don't fall! No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And GOD is faithful; HE will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, HE will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it.
- 1 Corinthians 10 : 1 - 14

When tempted, no one should say, "GOD is tempting me." For GOD cannot be tempted by evil, nor does HE tempt anyone; but each one is tempted when, by his own evil desire, he is dragged away and enticed. Then, after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, gives birth to death.
- James 1 : 13 - 15
Submit yourselves, then, to GOD. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
- James 4 : 7

Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying,
"This is the way; walk in it."
- Isaiah 30:21

Therefore, since we have a GREAT HIGH PRIEST WHO has gone through (into) the heavens, JESUS THE SON OF GOD, let us hold firmly to the faith we profess. For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but we have ONE WHO has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet was without sin. Let us then approach the Throne of Grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.
- Hebrews 4 : 14 - 16

Therefore, my dear brothers, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the LORD, because you know that your labour in the LORD is not in vain.
– 1 Corinthians 15 : 58
To HIM WHO is able to keep you from falling and to present you before HIS Glorious PRESENCE without fault and with great joy – to the ONLY GOD our SAVIOR be Glory, Majesty, Power and Authority, through JESUS CHRIST our LORD, before all ages, now and forevermore! Amen.
- Jude 24 - 25

Thanks, Margaret, for sharing with us these important and enlightening Scripture passages. The word of God is our nourishment and we should constantly feed on it, praying always in the Spirit as we study the word that God by grace would cause us not only to understand but to be living examples or demontrations of the word.

May God bless you, Margaret, for your faithfuless in ministering to us in this group, Grace To Help.
