All About GOD

All About GOD - Growing Relationships with Jesus and Others

Isaiah 26:16 tells us; O LORD, they sought You in distress; They could only whisper a prayer, Your chastening was upon them.

God’s people were in a difficult place. So hard was the place they found themselves in that they could not even raise a cry up toward Heaven. Their circumstance had sapped their strength and reduced their prayer to a whisper. The strain of life’s challenges can take our voice, our heart and even our faith. What a desperate hour to find oneself in. There is a pain so debilitating, a suffering so exhausting and undeniable that we lose sight of God; the One who holds us in the palm of His hand. This is a very dark place to be. Yet, this is where God’s people found themselves. It’s easier to believe that once we become a Christian that the pain of suffering excuses itself from our lives. But this is not the case. Sufferings take on a different role in our lives after we are saved. They become molds for holiness; for Jesus. That which weakens us now is the avenue through which strength will come.
It’s not our way…but its Gods.

The love of God is stronger than anything,  greater than our hurt, and mightier than death.   “The greatest of these is love” the Apostle Paul wrote to the church in Corinth.  (I Corinthians 13).

God is on the throne and on those days where I can only muster a whisper to call to Him, I’ve found that even there, He hears me.

Those lowly, broken places where we are at our worst, God is at His best. When we think our heart is going to just rip in two, remember this: a whisper in pain is mightier than a cry in strength.

Where are you today? Do you need for God to see you where you are…to hear you? Call on to Him and He will answer.
