Without faith it is impossible to please God

This is a verse I'd heard so often whenever doubtful that God was going to turn things around for me. And a verse I questioned often when I'd have doubts He was listening to me or cared or satan tossed in a thought that HE wasn't even there, that I knew better than that due to something I personally experienced and thought if satan was there telling me this then God also was there.

So what are your thoughts on whether we're pleasing God if we have doubts yet still have a glimmer of hope or belief down deep?

What I see is that if you have faith the size of a grain of mustard seed...

Any faith at all, no matter how small is pleasing to God because He can work with that. It doesn't mean He is always pleased with our actions but He's pleased with our faith. Even the father wanting his son healed admitted he had doubts but asked Jesus to help his unbelief...which He gladly did.
