All About GOD - Growing Relationships with Jesus and Others

Will you know when?

* When we see the destruction of Russia, Islam, and Egypt. (Ezekiel 38:1 – 39:16; 30:1-5)
* When we see the first stage of the conversion of Israel and also Gentiles. (Ezekiel 39:7)
* When we see the ancient city of Babylon begin to be rebuilt. (Zechariah 5:5-11)
* When we seen a world church and the rise of the False Prophet. (Revelation 17:1-5, 18; 13:11-17)
* When we see a world economic system in place. (Revelation 13:15-17)
* When we see a world government. (Daniel 7:23)
* When we see the world government break into 10 divisions. (Daniel 7:24)
* When we see the rebuilding of the Temple. (Revelation 11:1-2; 2 Thessalonians 2:4)
* When we see an amazing man rise out of obscurity and begin to solve the world’s problems. (Daniel 7:20, 24; 8:9; Revelation 13:1-10)
* When we see the rumblings of the “overflowing scourge.” (Joel 2:1-11; Isaiah 28:15)
* When we see the people of the world say, “Peace and safety!” (1 Thessalonians 5:3)
* When we see the prophet Elijah appear in Jerusalem. (Malachi 4:5)
* When we see indications of the impending covenant between Israel and the Antichrist. (Isaiah 28:15; Daniel 9:27)

When we see the “Signs in the sun and moon and stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, in perplexity for the roaring of the sea and the billows; men fainting for fear, and for expectation of the things which are coming on the world: for the powers of the heavens shall be shaken.” (Luke 21:25-26)

And when those signs begin to take place, the day star will arise in your heart, giving you the assurance to look up in obedience and thus escape all of the events that are happening in the world and then you will know when…

For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven, with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first; then we that are alive, that are left, shall together with them be caught up [Rapture] in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words. (1 Thessalonians 4:16-18)

Behold, I tell you a mystery: We all shall not sleep, but we shall all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. (1 Corinthians 15:51-53)

Hey LT!

Good to hear from you. Hoping for a summer filled with blessings that opens hearts for Jesus.

For the truth of God's love and grace,

-Stew
Thank you for posting this man's view Stew. The subject consumes my mind much of the time. This colorful and informative progression of scripture and events gives me much to ponder.
It's a good talking point. One that should be used to explore the scripture. I'd shy away from using it as an apologetic tool or as a way to have arguments (in a polemic way) with Christian brothers and sisters. It's better to approach such topics with an irenic mindset for discussion.
Howdy Stew! I am Rev. Dr. Mike. In what you posted, What is the viewpoint you believe on the Rapture?
Wow, that is a powerful question. I have been pondering that for some time now. I created the graphic out of my personal attempt to conform all of the substantiated data with scripture. I have to say that while I was creating that projection of information it was personally pleasing to feel like it could be understood so simply. Since I did that projection, I've had the opportunity to discuss the intersection between passages taken from Ezekiel, Daniel, and Revelation (specifically) and compare to what our Lord Jesus told us directly as recorded in Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. And there is conformance with the body of authorship, inspired (as all scripture is inspired by the Holy Spirit) that was penned by Paul. When I've reflected on those passages, I've been able to take a slightly different emphasis. One that is driven by the points that our Lord chose to make a priority when he was here in the flesh. The emphasis is toward sacrificial love that we are to have for one another. I so look forward to the day that our Lord Jesus will take us to be with him in Heaven forever, but I am not afraid to admit that I don't have all the details in perspective. I think that as I was composing this graphic, I imagined greater clarity on the next events in the timeline and that seemed to give me comfort. I am not sure that I should feel comfort in a human-composed interpretation of the scripture as it relates to end-times events. So I believe in the Rapture of the Church, but I think that the details around that event might be like what is suggested in the graphic, but they may be different as well. Only God knows for sure.
Howdy Stew!

Please forgive me for taking so long to respond to you but, I have not been here on AllaboutGod. I have been working on my Thesis for my Ph.D. in Biblical Studies. Having said that, The Rapture of the Church will occur according to God's Law. And, The Rapture of the Christian Church will occur before the Tribulation Period of Daniel 9:27 occurs.

How do I know this for sure? Because, When you study the 7 Feasts of the Lord in Leviticus Chapter 23, The Feast of Trumpets is fulfilled by Christ, see Matthew 5:17-18, before the Feast of the Great Day of Atonement. One Week Separates these 2 Feasts. To Confirm this information, a diligent study of John Chapter 20 would be very beneficial. Christ proves the Pre-Tribulation Rapture in what He does in this Chapter of John Chapter 20.

When Christ fulfills the Feast of Trumpets, He will fulfill this Feast during a time known as the Season of Testimony which is based on the Parable of the Fig Tree in Matthew Chapter 24. We cannot know the day or the hour, but, according to Jesus Christ, We can know the season. The Season of Testimony is based on Israel becoming a Nation in 1948 and Psalm 90:10.

If you would like for me to go through this explanation with you, just let me know. God Bless You and have a wonderful blessed New Year.

Dr. Mike
