And also, I understand that Jesus, the Apostles and many other followers of God prayed constantly and for long hours. I've been hearing people say a prayer that is said for a longer time is more effective than one that is shorter. When I tried praying for a longer time than I usually do, I ended up repeating myself and blabbing on and on which I know is wrong because Jesus said in Matthew 6:7 "And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think
they will be heard because of their many words." I say short prayers but they come from the heart, I don't pray when I feel like I'm doing it in vain. I hear other Christians pray and their prayers are so eloquent but I don't like praying in a way that everyone here's me and I feel like because my prayers are not as long or as powerful as other people's, I'll miss out on blessings that God would have planned to give me if only I had prayed for that little longer. What is the right thing to do?
