It's also impossible to be part of that 144,000 unless you're Jewish too.  Which rules out all non-Jewish people.

I don't think you should worry about that figure though.  Aside from some Christians believing there'll be other Christians surviving the tribulation period, that figure doesn't take into account 100,000's or possibly millions of Christians killed and/or martyred.  

I have my own theory which I *don't* believe, but hold possible: That if a person is part of the body of Christ, then they're as good as Jewish; plus it's possible for their body to be renewed/completely healed, which would then technically make them a virgin as well.  I'm sure there's something to contradict this but if you consider that if a non-Jew marries a Jew and becomes Jewish, then if a Christian becomes part of the body of Christ, would that not be good enough?

    Hello Kevin, you were in the mornings chat on me and William Ancient talks lol. So why are you so interested the 144,000. I researched this some, back last year. I read this in the Bible and caught my interest, back then. I have allot of love and respect for the Jew!!! And will be clear and blunt on how God loves them and stand by them!! My walk with God is too free captives form Spiritual Egypt(Bondage). Form Apostasy. And love and help others and Help and love the Jewish people. So what interests you to this Kevin?

Thanks...Well I was doing some reading & trying to get closer to God as usual, then I came across a website where it was being discussed. I never knew about the elect & bride...I mean, I read revelations, but couldnt fully understand most things. To me, revelations is an intruiging part of the bible to me & I was just trying to get a better understanding about that whole process of the second coming of Jesus. Im so into the Lord...I want to know background history about jews...I need to do much research, but basically I want to be in God's favor keep getting closer to him. Besides reading & praying...how can I become closer with God?

WOW! What a topic! It sends my mind and heart scurrying in numerous directions.

Who are the elect? We are the ones that chose Christ as Lord and Savior. Jew...are they God's elect? They can be, if they choose Christ.

I believe in a pre-trib Rapture. I don't believe that Christians nor Messianic Jews (Christians) are going to witness the great tribulation except from heaven. God says that we are not meant for His Wrath, however, there are many who don't agree with me. At any rate, we won't be afflicted by the Wrath of God against the unbelievers that are on the earth.

I love James' comment and his take on the situation. And he speaks truth in what he posted.

So Kevin, to answer your question...there are many of the elect who are not virginal...not in body and not in soul...and still they are part of the elect.

Regarding the 144,000...I believe they are of the Jewish nation.

May God richly bless you as you ponder the 144,000, as I will be doing...

Thank you so much Rita...you really do speak from the heart. I know there are many false prophets mixing up the word, so I have to keep praying that God helps me recognize truth. Because someone told me that 144,000 will be raptured to heaven & there will be another group of 144,000 (bride) that will be sealed on earth to witness tribulation period & the ones who didnt survive would then go to heaven & the ones who did survive would enter the millenium reign as the Lord builds his Kingdom on earth............Now im really just learning about alot of this, so Im not saying what I was told is true...but I surely am trying to seek the truth...Thank you so much Rita, God Bless.
