Prayer Requests and the Use of Forums

Greetings all,

After listening to some of you, discussing things with TheNET leadership and spending time in prayer we have decided to make an adjustment in procedure here on AAG. We feel that it is in the best interest of the community and ministry to open the forums up for prayer requests and people responding in prayer. I would ask that you use this opportunity to bring forth burdens that are heavy on your heart and viewed as urgent. I realize that heavy and urgent are somewhat subjective, but would ask that you prayerfully consider this when placing requests. We are not going to micromanage this, but trust that it will be handled well by the community and that this opportunity will not be abused. The prayer room and blogs are still available for prayer requests as well and we still encourage that the majority of request be posted there.

What is not changing is the basic protocol for posting forums and blogs.

Blogs – Blogs are the place to let others know your thoughts on issues important to you, tell what’s been happening in your life, keep a daily (public) journal, or to share a devotional thought. Instead of sending group messages to your friends, write it in a blog instead. That way you’ll not be guilty of spamming and your friends will still be able to know what’s going on with you. Each time a new blog is posted, it is noted on the main page as most recent activity, people will see your blog and be able to pray for you.

Forums – Forums are places to ask questions! If you are wondering about some issue and want to get a question answered or feedback from other members, creating a forum is the best way to do this. Avoid using forums to write up a devotional thought or to make a statement. The best forums always ask a question. Ask it and be prepared for some good interaction!teaching that has moved you.
