All About GOD

All About GOD - Growing Relationships with Jesus and Others

It's that time of year again. Thanksgiving is only a little over a week away then the Christmas shopping will be in full swing. And once again, we are faced with “offending” others if we say “merry Christmas”. Saying “happy holidays” leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Stores go all out to make money off of the Christmas season, yet so many employees of those stores refuse to say “merry Christmas”. Stores gladly make money from purchases that are to be Christmas gifts, not holiday gifts. If merchants will stop and think about it, why do we even have a “Christmas” season? Because of our Savior's birth. His name isn't “holiday”. It's Jesus Christ! Without Him, there wouldn't a Christmas season, yet nobody wants to say “merry Christmas”.

I know when I'm out and about and someone says “happy holidays”, I will correct them loudly and say “Merry Christmas!”

Has anyone else felt uncomfortable about “happy holidays”?

luv it, luv it, luv it!!!!! that is soooo cool! muhammad was some ordinary guy who chose "allah" to worship out of 15 other "gods". i was on a muslim fb site and posted a prayer of salvation for all those wanting to turn to Jesus. then a woman threatened to report me. i figure if i'm persecuted for Christ's sake, i'm doing something right. God bless nathaniel!
