All About GOD - Growing Relationships with Jesus and Others

If someone seems to be turning away from God (but not yet lost faith), no matter what has been said to them, love shown them etc do we give up on them?  (because of the unevenly yoked reason).

No, unless they're starting to affect your faith.  For example, if you are their friend and they start putting Buddha statues up around their house, or even if you visit their house and feel uncomfortable due to the atmosphere there, then that would be time to keep distance from them.  It would still be fine to pray for them though.

Choco, if it is a marriage you are speaking up, the answer is that we as believers are not to leave the marriage but if the person is an unbeliever and decides to leave the marriage, the believer is released from the marriage covenant with that person. If someone is turning away from God we should never give up on them. As long as their is breath in the body, there is hope.

As long as someone is alive, there is hope. Even if someone walks away from God and the faith this moment, there is still hope that the Spirit will pursue them and restore them. If the situation is abusive and unsafe, then one may need to separate from the person for awhile but we are not to walk away simply because someone is losing their faith. That could be very damaging to the person and might further push them away from the light. This is just my opinion.

We never give up on people. How we relate to them may be affected by their choices and actions, but our goal is always their restoration from their waywardness or salvation if they have not ever come to Christ and been born again.

I believe God doesnt give up on anyone spiritually, though a person can lose faith in God.

Many people will give up on each other for all sorts of reasons, I wouldn't give up on anyone because they don't believe what I believe or they have lost faith in God.  Jesus (I thought) encouraged us not to give up on our fellow man, but rather to pray for them.
