All About GOD - Growing Relationships with Jesus and Others

In several instances Jesus used spit to heal the blind, deaf and mute. What do you think may be the reason for this action? Why did He not do this for everyone He healed?

One reason I see He didn't want the person He healed to know who He is.  He told many of first people He healed not to tell who He was.  Many did not listen, but He could keep blind people from seeing Him, so they could not tell what He looked like if they had to go somewhere to wash off clay or spit.

There's one instance however, in Mark or Luke one, where the man could see but not clearly so He did it again and he could see completely. He didn't go off to wash but could see that instant. Another time he healed a deaf mute with spit. There's some significance to this somehow. I couldn't believe it to even be some custom of the time because we know Jesus didn't follow customs.

That true Seek.

Another might be He understand level of faith in person.  That person need physical touch to heal.  Some need Jesus to come to see sick person to heal them.  But Gentile Centurion only needed Jesus to say word and his daughter healed.  Jesus say, "I say to you, I have not found such great faith, not even in Israel!"
