All About GOD

All About GOD - Growing Relationships with Jesus and Others

I have often found myself saying this 'God loves the sinner but hates the sin'.
But today, this point in scripture was highlighed for me:

Psalm 5:4-6
O God, you take no pleasure in wickedness;
you cannot tolerate the sins of the wicked.
Therefore, the proud may not stand in your presence, for you hate all who do evil.
You will destroy those who tell lies.
The Lord detests murderers and deceivers.

verse 7 says this:
Because of your unfailing Love, I can enter your house,
I will worship at your temple with deepest awe.

God Loves Jesus!

It is heavy on my heart that Jesus is not being Glorified for what He has done...

What has God done to satisfy Justice..and Who is Christ?

Isaiah 53:9-12
Isa 53:9 He had done no wrong, and he never deceived anyone. But he was buried like a criminal; he was put in a rich man's grave.

Isa 53:10 But it was the LORD's good plan to crush him and fill him with grief. Yet when his life is made an offering for sin, he will have a multitude of children, many heirs. He will enjoy a long life, and the LORD's plan will prosper in his hands.

Isa 53:11 When he sees all that is accomplished by his anguish, he will be satisfied. And because of what he has experienced, my righteous servant will make it possible for many to be counted righteous, for he will bear all their sins.

Isa 53:12 I will give him the honors of one who is mighty and great, because he exposed himself to death. He was counted among those who were sinners. He bore the sins of many and interceded for sinners.

Colossians 1:13-22 NLT

Col 1:13 For he has rescued us from the one who rules in the kingdom of darkness, and he has brought us into the Kingdom of his dear Son.

Col 1:14 God has purchased our freedom with his blood [fn] and has forgiven all our sins.

Col 1:15 Christ is the visible image of the invisible God. He existed before God made anything at all and is supreme over all creation. [fn]

Col 1:16 Christ is the one through whom God created everything in heaven and earth. He made the things we can see and the things we can't see--kings, kingdoms, rulers, and authorities. Everything has been created through him and for him.

Col 1:17 He existed before everything else began, and he holds all creation together.

Col 1:18 Christ is the head of the church, which is his body. He is the first of all who will rise from the dead, [fn] so he is first in everything.

Col 1:19 For God in all his fullness was pleased to live in Christ,

Col 1:20 and by him God reconciled everything to himself. He made peace with everything in heaven and on earth by means of his blood on the cross.

Col 1:21 This includes you who were once so far away from God. You were his enemies, separated from him by your evil thoughts and actions,

Col 1:22 yet now he has brought you back as his friends. He has done this through his death on the cross in his own human body. As a result, he has brought you into the very presence of God, and you are holy and blameless as you stand before him without a single fault.

How can we Glorify Jesus? What does this mean in our lives? Yes he has saved many of us... Are we fully living for Him? We need to remember it is not about us... It's all about Jesus.

Dear Charles.. oh yes.. The Holy Spirit Highlighter... :)

God shows us things as he knows we are ready to receive it...and have it become a part of us...until eventually we are with Him eternally. There are times when I open my mouth to pray...and this overwhleming thankfulness brings me to my knees and to Worship.. the only words I can mutter are 'Thank you Jesus for all you have done'..

Those who have been forgiven much ...love much. Is that how the saying goes? I know what I am without Christ. I know what He has brought me out of and what HE is still bringing me out of.

There are some lyrics that come to mind from a song for Jesus:
How can we say enough... about You.. Halllelujah..

Doesn't that just sum it up? Our Words are weak and few..and will never be enough. He has our hearts.. and our lives. The cry of my heart is that we will Glorify Him ...just lift Him up no matter what we are doing or what is happening around us. I believe that this is the cry of all who belong to Him.

God Bless you dear brother.
Love in Christ, Carla
What can we say to describe just
a glimpse of Your glory
How can our words portray but a
thread of your majesty
But still we praise our Savior
In Spirit and in Truth
For we cannot say enough about You

Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Amen, it is an awesome thing to tell Jesus how much we love Him and You are right Carla, it is the cry of all who belong to Him...
I am thankful to God to have a relationship with Him through Christ, it is all about Jesus and our relationship with Him and others.
Amen, the power of thanksgiving no matter what, 1 Thess 5:18 " in everything give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you"
