All About GOD - Growing Relationships with Jesus and Others

So many time I hear of people both in the Bible days and in the contempories how they walk very closelly with the Lord. But many a times that walk seems too high to -be attained. As this same thought ever cross your mind for once?

what do you think about walking intimatelly with God. But I strongly believe that God never demand the imposibile from us. What are causes of this seemingly unattainable life?

We have total freedom because that is what Christ died for , for freedoms sake. Now just like with any relationship as when you love someone you want to be with them, that is the way to be intimate with God. It is attainable because it is in our own heart. My thoughts are that if we seek Him and ask for what we want a truly intimate relationship He will guide us in one.
Don't be afraid to ask God. His love is never changing and He loves us unconditionally. Of course He loves us so much we will have ways we must change but only in and with His love.
God bless you,
May God of all seasons bring you into His arms and loved.
Your Sister in Christ
I often wonder the same thing. I hear so many people talk about their relationship with God and how close they are with God.
I believe that we have to grow to the point where we have a very close relationship with God.
Before you think of this, as being unobtainable, you might do well to think about the mistakes that were made by many, also, the sins that have been committed in our day and time, by some who walked closely with God. We are human and we err, however, we serve a living God, who loves to forgive.

Another thing that you might think on, is the scripture that talks about ones who have had much forgiven, love much.
That would be so in my case, because I had a lot of sins, that were washed away, when Jesus came into my life.

In fact, my husband and I have made mention that the lake that we were baptised in, sprung a leak, right after ward, and the lake emptied, now, I am sure it was didn't have anything to do with us being baptised in it, but, we have used it as a humorous thought, at times.

I can't speak for anyone but myself, but the fact that I need God in my life, and the fact that he is willing to actually be in my life, means everything to me. I love him because he first loved me, and I love him because he received me, when I was yet a sinner, and I love him for teaching me his word, and for sticking close to me, when I am in need, he shows up.

I love him for all the answers that he has given me, over the years, and for the protection that he has given, for the direction, and encouragement. I love him because he is good, and kind, and gentle, and because he loves us as we are, in our mess, not because of who we are, or what we are, just because he is love, and we are the object of that love.

To wake up in the morning and know that I matter to God, keeps me going, and gives me the will to face and overcome, whatever comes against me that day. It helps me when I am down, it revives me when I am weary, it keeps me going, when I might be tempted to give up.

To me, sharing his love, makes my life worthwhile, it makes me somebody, because I have God living inside of me. It causes me to love the unloveable, because I have been loved. It helps me to go the second mile, because he has done it for me. It helps me to keep on hoping, even when things might not look so good.

His love causes me to forgive, when I have been hurt, or wounded, or mistreated. His love causes me to seek his will, and to try my very best to actually do his will.

If I look at me, I see just another person walking down the street, but, If I look at him.... I see everything.

It's not about me, it is all about him.
Yeah, I know what you mean. I heard it in a song once. (I wish I were the man I know to be.) I think the person who wrote the song was pondering the book of Ephesians. It's by God's grace that we are who we are.

God bless,
Mary O.
